I love it when a plan comes together without any sort of serious hitchs in my getalong! 
 
Friday afternoon - to late in the day to start making fone calls - is when I got informed they were taking dad off Hospice, and I would have until This Coming friday to get all his equipment replaced.  I was Really Worried that I wouldn't manage to find some place that could replace his equipment in time for the transition.  Or that if I did, it was going to cost so much out of pocket that it was impossible to accomplish.
 
I managed to find a company - less than 10 blocks from the house - who can and will replace all dad's equipment (wheelchair, nebulizer, oxygen concentrator, portable oxy tank, and masks for al 3) .... on Friday of this week, at no out of pocket expense to myself because they're filing for medicare on dad's behalf since he's on medicare.... and rather than having to try and get him in to see his GP on an emergency basis to have New orders written up for all the equipment.... a single phone call to the hospice company got them to fax all of their prior orders for equipment to the new company, so that they have the necessary medical orders to do so!  2 phone calls on my part, rather than the dozens I was anticipating having to make, and a Lot more cooperation from the hospice company in this transition that I was expecting considering how long they put off telling me that they were terminating his case.

I love when I handle my stuff. (I hate the doing, but love when it's done).

I called an agency to help me with my visa - actually I called three.  The very nice man called me back, talking to me for about 40 minutes.  *Yes, I was frantic.  Yes, he talked me off the figurative ledge.*  We went through the list of 12 things to do, and he helped me realize what else I needed to do (three things).  Plus he sent me ANOTHER list of things you have to do / get AFTER the first list was completed (another 12, and no I'm not exaggerating.  I counted them.).  I had all but 2 things done on it.  I completed one thing.  I made a phone call for the other.  The third was an email where I went to the Big Boss to get something done.  I did not sit around and talk to the people who have been giving me the runaround for a week and a half.  You know, the boss is an asshole, but he gets stuff done.

I love that I feel like I have someone knowledgeable in my corner and that I have some support for getting this stuff done.  It feels good to not be so stressed!

I love that Rhi is having small victories in the nightmare. All my compassion goes out to you, honey. You are stronger than most of us. (and I will be ordering more yummy soaps and lotions soon!)

I love that Sunshine is knocking out the myriad things to do before the final plunge.

I love that Wanders and VP perved me! (Even thought VP complained there weren't enough bare marks showing. Hey- go complain to the photographer! [Like anyone would have the chutzpah to take it up with Sir!! lol])

I love that Sir still has the patience to listen to me when all I can do is talk about the stress at work and how the school district is f***ing us all- especially the kids.

I love that the meeting I had to attend today (half hour meeting, 6 hour drive) went well

I am excited to have figured out what I am going to wear to an industry awards night tomorrow - I am going to go all Indian-y (well a salwar kameez thing which is probably actually more muslim or something, I don't know..... damnit stop rambling Wanders.... [:D])
