Now that Madonna was elected to the Rock Hall Of Fame, I can't wait till, in a few years, Britney Spears and Hanna Montana get in. [&:]

FWIW, Why Not? The R&R HOF has always been a bit of a joke... Some say it peaked in 94, when they induced Lennon in addition the him being in already for the Beatles in 88... Shit, last year they inducted fucking Van Halen, and look where that ended up...

Just wait until the Franklin Mint offers collectors plates with a series of her "looks," handcrafted, with a certificate of authenticity, and limited to a total number of 101 firing days. Did the original Elvis fans know they were old the first time they saw those commercials???

The term rock n roll surely gets tossed around too easily, and incorrectly. I like Madonna.........but she ain't r-n-r.

What about bands like Kiss, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Yes, The Moody Blues, Black Sabbath, etc.? Not all may be deserving, but at least they are rock bands, and seems to me more deserving to be there than Madonna. Estring

i still want to know why and when Heart will be brought in to the Hall of Fame.i mean really they have been around much longer than Madonna and are still producing records(not to well known in the market as it is now) but they are still going strong.
