I've never thought about that before. That's actually kind of interesting...me'thinks I'm going to try and talk the Captain into the mask for a scene or two to see what my reaction would be..

One reason I so loved Mardi Gras in Louisiana... all those masked people running about.  But the midnight unmasking (on public streets) rule kinda sucked.

I love some Micheal Myers!  Of course, that could be because I know a VERY cute guy who always dresses as MM for Halloween and I get off on being the only one that he will speak to when he's in the costume.  Even then, he just stands next to me, very straight and obviously doesn't open his mouth much because the mask doesn't move.  It's rather fun and creepy at the same time to carry on a conversation with him when others watching don't have a clue.

Lumus, Excellent idea. Thank you for the concept. I will be implementing it very soon. I usually associate masks with anonymity. Now I can use masks as emotional cues. COOL!

Instead of a mask, I've found a very thin spandex hood is an effective accessory for certain kinds of play acting.  Where the mask replaces a face with another, the hood allows my partner to project whatever kind of face she wants/fears onto my body.

The only problem is that the room as to be reasonably well lighted (not bright but more than a few candles) as even the thinest mask interfers with my vision.  I also take it off before I begin the cutting.

It depends a lot on the design of the mask as well. I did a topic on clowns a while back. I think that you can mask expressions with face paints as easily as with an actual hard overlay. It's probably one of the reasons people are ariad of clowns. The expression seems to be stuck in one mode constantly-which makes it a great mind fuck-you can't read them.

Masks scare the hell out of me especially the really scary demonic looking ones that are supposed to look like the devil, or crazy clown or whatever. I am not down with the masks so I feel your pain there. I wouldn't allow my Master to touch me with a tenfoot pole with one of those on without screaming my head off.

Almost as fun as needles-maximum effect-minimum effort.

Sorry about the above...stupid computers!

The blindfold is a trust thing. With Grinn, that's the easy part...physical trust having long been established. Having everything covered is one thing. Having your loving and trusted Master suddenly become a total stranger is NOT the same.
I'm with you on this one, Pheonix. I just can't like a masked Master

We have Firefox set to keep us logged in...I thought I was here last!
And you're right....never give a password to a sub. She'll probably just sign you up for the JC Penny catalog and beasiality newsletters.

I'm from Vermont, where I'd be surprised if you could find ten issues of Cosmo in the whole state. I love it here.
