Enough to make them leave? I'm in our bottom garage working today. Trying to make room to put one of the older cars down there to make room for the new car in the upper garage. Anyway, there is a bird trapped in there. I guess it got in via the cat door? I've opened both doors on the garage. Yet it is still flying around in the rafters. I notice when I walk towards the area it is in. It flies. So, is there a way to make it figure out how to fly through the doors and to freedom? I've used the broom trying to urge it...etc..already. No luck yet.

Just leave the doors open, if you can, eventually, the bird will fly out on it's own. He may have come in looking for a place out of the weather or something like that. Just leave him an avenue of escape....chasing him around will just panic him...if you leave him be, he'll figure it out.

I hope so. I came upstairs and left both doors open...in hopes he figures there is a great deal of light through the doors now..hehe.

It works with bees and other insects, so maybe birds too, switch off all lights, and open the door letting the light in. Let the creature calm down and wait, it may fly out seeking the light and freedom. Oh, you as it sees is a predator, you want to be away so it cannot see or sense you

OK here goes- 1- Buy a monkey, I suggest a capuchin. 2-Teach the capuchin to do bird calls(I hear they are reeeeally smart, so this shouldn't be difficult) 3-Teach the monkey how to do the "moonwalk"(why? because it would be COOL as FUCK, that's why) 4-Instruct the monkey to go into the garage and sooth the bird with it's melodic warbling............... creep up on that little birdy bastard with a tennis racket...........WHACK THAT SUCKER, and move on with your life!!!!!! 5-Problem solved.Plus,afterwards you will have a cool as hell monkey that moonwalks and bircalls! you're welcome-OD

Just leave the door open, make sure everyone leaves the area, peeps, dogs, cats, etc., and let nature take it's course. The birdt will mosst likely find its way out, if you don't continue to scare the shit out of it.

Had them IN THE HOUSE a couple of times. They go for the light. Just work from that and they will go on their own, and that is the best way. Give them an out and they will take it. T

Put a stuffed owl in there with it. Seriously, you can buy those at farm supply places. They are funny to put outside during the colder months too. Crows hate owls, and will take dives at it. It's fucking hilarious.
