Try the internet, sorry I can be of no more help than that, but a google search might reveal the answer to your question.

Pahunkboy, what are you looking for? If you like, feel free to contact me privately on the other side, I have resources for herbs, minerals, vitamins, essential oils, a number of items. No, I don't sell them, just resources. This is not a solicitation... I *may* be able to point you in the right direction is all....

Yeah Willow, those viagra trees just don't grow anywhere.

Any way, when looking for supplements, look for minerals. Your body manufactures vitamins out of minerals. If you get them you should be fine.

Your body manufactures vitamins out of minerals.

Vitamins and minerals are two very different substances, T.

By definition vitamins are molecules that cannot be manufactured by the human body. We have to acquire both vitamins and essential - sometimes organically bound - trace minerals from our food.

It's been said a couple of times but I'll repeat, NO!

Vitamins by definition are not produced in sufficient quantity or not produced at all by the organism in question. Minerals may or may not be involved in the sythesis of these compounds in those organisms that do sythesize them but for people, we only syntesize vitamin D at all and only then if we're out in the sun and we get Vitamin K from intestinal flora, all that matters is actually getting those compounds in our diet..

For most people though, a balanced diet is all that is necessary to get all the viatmins you need. Vitamin D might be an issue if you don't get outside enough and if you don't making sure to drink some vitamin D fortified milk isn't a bad idea.

Say, there...not sure what you mean to find.  There are two sites for nutritional supplements, that are very inclusive and very well priced.

iherb.com and vitacost.com - both have many brand names and deep discounts.  iherb is all kinds of supplements, despite the name.  Of the two, iherb is less expensive, generally, and has an excellent selection.

They both have a very extensive catalogue.

P.S. - Some brand names are more reliable than others, regarding potency and contents.

Yep, good idea. I seem to recall from my Nutrition textbook that Biotin is made in the gut, too.

Balanced diet is the best way to get vitamins and minerals. My body seems to like a mostly vegetarian diet, and I occasionally supplement w/ B-12, chromium, Folic acid, & cold water fish-oil caps. And chocolate, gummi bears, and ice cream. Essential nutrients.

Be careful with suppliments. Some are not supposed to be taken with certain medical conditions or with certain prescriptions. You should talk to a pharmacist or doctor before taking any suppliments.
