Ferraro is getting a taste of what Democrats have been doing to Republicans for ages now. Any talk of race gets you branded as a racist. Kind of poetic justice I would say. I don't believe she is a racist, but that never matters as she quickly found out.

I consider the source. Geraldine Ferraro was once a Democratic Vice Presidential Candiate who during one debate with the GOP Vice President claimed the Republican Party was the party of the rich. Turned out she was worth more money then GOP VP Candiate. Ms. Ferraro husband, a New York Business with Mob ties was later convicted of racketting. The GOP won by a landslide.

I would throw it right back at Ferraro... if it weren't for the fact that Hillary shared a bed with Bill for innumerous years she wouldn't be running for president... basically she is just another woman that slept her way to the top[;)] Now the above has more veracity to me than to state that Obama got where he is because he is Black. Obama is articulate and charismatic, and frankly I think he got where he is DESPITE his color... julia

ferraro and clinton are both lying scum sucking snakes. I hope clinton loses the primary so she can whine and complain for years about her "destiny" being ruined, bla bla bla. Give me a break. She over exaggerates everything she has ever done to keep her bloated head inflated. and Ferraro or however you spell her name is nothing more than a whiny old woman who is bitter her women's revolt never happened.

Just out of curiosity if Obama's not trying to take advantage of saying he's black then why doesn't he just call himself what he really is then & that's a Mulatto, he's half white too??? It doesn't matter who gets elected they're not really the ones in charge anyway The ones really in charge are the Illuminati, The Bilderbergers & the Corporate elite... George Carlin said it years ago, Elections are to fool you into thinking you have a choice...

I think there is some undeniable truth in that statement...at this time and in this election being black is an advantage... but it is a very small part of his appeal... What amazes me is how stupid a statement it was...especially for a politician. Butch

Well I knew ... I was sort of making a goofy point. I'm with you completely. Anyone that knows any members of my family, would know that I'm likely to be almost any race with just about any nation of origin. My last name is Irish, and I like to get drunk sometimes ... but I'm allowed to pick on my own people, right? [;)]

The thing is Ferarro is right. No white candidate has ever done what Obama has done. Plenty of white lawyers have gotten up and tried, its never worked. Bringing in a huge number of new young and minority voters, while being able to reassure and not scare "white" America. He is a symbol of the Multi ethnic future, almost all of us want. No white man could do that. At least none have yet. Being black is not his only qualification. He is smart, determined, and has worked hard. So was Edwards.... Obama can do what he does because of who he is. And part of that is his looks, which is unquestionably black. To deny it is silly. To see him eating up the traditional Party Dems is wonderfull from where I sit. Laughing my ass off. Yall have been inviting this group to the "party" for years, now they show up and want to run it right away. And if you don't respect, your a racist. And to think 3 months ago, I figured the Dems would probably win. Ferarro is a racist!!! Yeah screw that bitch!!

I forgive obama for being black or not black. how dumb. oddly a faction of America really does think this. Obama is exactly what we need! When i bought my own place that was moms que to butt out. no one wants a nagging mother type criticizing their every move-a male can criticise in a way a woman can not. [sorry - but that is how I view it] Obama does not need any forgiveness for being black. quite to the contrary. the white man got us in this mess and something other then white can get us out. Maybe hillary,maybe not. America is ugly at times. all this hoppla means little as the novemebr vote is the vote that counts.

Dude open your eyes, the Dem party is defering to & even pandering to him simply because he's claiming to be Black, they don't want to be branded as racist... There are many in America, some I've talked to R/t that are afraid to speak up for fear of the same brand... I'm different I'll take a stand even if it is unpopular, Check out some of the other posts I've made in these very forums in the past... What white senator from either party have you heard of doing what Obama's doing & thier party going along w/it??? I don't believe the man has the experience to lead this country especially in the times we're living in now!!! Of course I don't think that the other two candidates are a whole lot better, but they're not trying to cash in on race either... The fact of the matter is Obama is half white too but you don't hear him refering to that half of himself, it's like he's ashamed of it.... I wonder how his Mother would feel about his campaign w/it's emphasis solely on his Afro-American heritage???
