"The Bush Debt: $7.7 Trillion" [Video, CSPAN-2]
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/03/11/bush-debt/

This next chart illustrates the value of the differences between the budget landscape planned by President Clinton and the one created by President Bush. As you can see, the difference between the two is a staggering $7.7 trillion. This number represents the fiscal harm that President Bush has inflected on our nation. This number is the Bush debt. […]

Like most concepts of enormous size, this amount takes some thought to comprehend. $7.7 trillion is $25,000 owed by every adult or child in the United States.

I thought that senseless spending was the way to get the economy moving again?

....not relevent to the crowd that thinks crist will come again [soon] and raputure, mid east, ball of fire.

so budget is irrelevent.

=========================

I watch c-span, c-span2.   funny how they mention billions when billions at a time go to the war.  then to fight the shared sacrifice seems  --- fake.

some are set on deleting "entitilments"   ie Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and the like.

No, it was a subsidy package intended to benefit the Chinese.  Where do you think most of that tax 'rebate' money is going?

SMC,

How much do you figure each life was worth, in terms of that debt?  Yanno, the money we spent on Iraq, divided by the number of casualties?

Some folks made out with some serious blood money.
