good lord!  it jumped that much? where do you live that gas has been under $3.00 for this long??
Last night when I went home, the station by my house was $3.19.  This afternoon, when I left for work, it'd had gone to $3.21.  Of course less than 2 weeks ago it was 3.11.

I filled up yesterday; it was $3.19.  I don't have the receipt in front of me, but it cost me about 38 bucks to fill up, and I generally only need to do that every two weeks.

It's under $3/gallon here in NJ if you go to the right stations.  There's a great website, http://www.newjerseygasprices.com/ which compares the prices in the state.

I got gas today at $3.48 per gallon that was the cash price at the time.  That was about 11 am.  I went by the station again later about 6 pm and it had gone up to $3.53 per gallon.  Monday diesel was at $4.25 I did not notice what it was today ...  that was in Marin Co California which is over the bridge from Chevron whos price is even worse for regular.

I paid $3.07 today.  I'm glad Safeway gives $.10/gallon discounts.

$3.17 here!
It's funny, when I first started driving (4 years ago), gas prices were at $1.80 and that was sooooo expensive...

gas prices here jump around a lot.. last week it was $2.98 now its $3.18. Gas went up because the cost of oil went up over $105 a barrel... once that comes down so will the gas prices again, atleast a little anyhow..

Plan ahead has always worked well. Just think if people did that AND put their precious progeny on the bus instead of chauffering them to school. What a fucking waste.

Anyhoo, my E320 Cabrio takes 93 octane. I just dropped $4800 on her, and I'm driving her now just to make sure all is well. Once I determine everything on the machine is functioning properly, she's going in the garage, and I'm back to the beat-up 88 Volvo.

I started a thread in which a professor at Uni-Colorado explains why all this is going to happen (exhaustion of resources, etc.) but it had very simple math in it. Scary shit.

i didn't pay attention yesterday, but i was takling to a friend of mine that works at a refinery here in northern UT....he said by 08, new government restrictions are going to make one more step in the processing of oil mandatory and it will automatically add 1dollar to the price of a gallon of gas.....it's not ever going to go down i'm afraid.

Lucky you! At the moment gas price is something around 7.80$ (taxes included) here.

3 bucks regular.

$80 to fill my tank,once a week.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During Clinton`s years,I`d get pissed when it would jump to a buck fifty (before returning to around a buck thirty).
Funny thing is,there isn`t a shortage of supply or of refineries.The only thing that`s changed(sense 2001) is un-ending war in the middle east and poor leadership.
Someone is fucking us.
there are 42 gallons in a barrel.
i dont get the up-roar... it has been higher and for a few month too.  IMO we will see $6 by labor day.
useage is flat from 1 year ago in the US.
as far as $1 more added for better formulation, if it means cleaner air- then that is a good thing.
We have not even been hit with the gas from the oil that was over $100 a barrel the last time it shot up. When that hits expect gas prices to be in the $4.00 a gallon range.
