I am scared to look, but it was about $3.25 when I got gas
Sunday.
I am sure it will be $3.50 very soon, and $4.00 by the summer.
 
I am sooooooooo glad that I moved so close to work now! [:D]
Also glad I am not driving an SUV or truck right now, I would
probably cry every time I bought gas.[sm=river.gif]

I pity those that drives miles and miles to work, unless they are
making the BIG BUCKS.

During Clinton`s years,I`d get pissed when it would jump to a buck fifty (before returning to around a buck thirty).

Funny thing is,there isn`t a shortage of supply or of refineries.The only thing that`s changed(sense 2001) is un-ending war in the middle east and poor leadership.

It ranges between $3.17 and $3.21 here in Fayetteville NC.  Costs me about $50 to fill up, but that last me about two weeks if i manage it right and consolidate trips to town and do several things at once. 
What makes me mad is that the oil companies have had record profits the last couple of years. They keep jacking up the price and then drop it just a little and every one goes "yay, it went down", oh please, all they are doing is programing us to accept the higher and higher prices.  When it does get to $4.00 and it drops to about $3.80, we will all be relieved even though that is still way too high. 
i know i will probly get reamed for this comment, but i think we need to open and use the oil that is here in the states.

well, what I would like to know is why they haven't made cars that run on propane as mentioned earlier it is cheaper way way cheaper than gas at the moment. They have buses that run on propane surely they could make cars that run on it to. Would be cleaner for the air to I beleive. Also, if people would just stop going to places they don't HAVE to go to for like one year maybe not even that long and the gas companies got stuck with lots of gas that no one was buying then maybe just maybe it would come down. Never know til you try you have to get to there bottom line and hurt it before anything will change.

AZ usa Phx - filled up at my  nearest costco at 2.94 a gallon i can also save more if i buy a premium membership which it looks like i shall upgrade to soon . i saw 3.11-3.35 everywhere else costco benifits do pay off .

3.13 yesterday at my friendly korean station. Think I am going to sell the explorer and buy a civic or something. and the oil company execs should be put in jail for this mess.

They do make cars that work on propane.  Also any car that runs on gasoline can be made to run,and run well, on propane. 
In Canada half of the cars run on propane.  The other side of that equation is that there are twice as many cars in California than there are in the whole country of Canada.  The sad fact is that there is not enough propane for all cars in the U.S. to run on propane.  Consider also that if you were to choose to convert your car to propane it would cost you in the neighborhood of $5,000 to do so.  Less than half that if you were able to do the work yourself.  The benefits are that your engine would last about five times longer.  Your emissions would drop to almost zero.  Fuel economy and power would double.  Currently propane is about 40% less than gasoline.  The fact that propane has increased in price by 100% in the past three or four years is nothing but pure unvarnished greed as there has not been an increase in the demand nor in the cost of production.  Propane is not dependent on the price of oil.
When rape is inevitable it is probably wise to use lots of lube and get as comfortable as possible[:D].

it depends where in Chicago.  prices could be between $3.30 to $3.50 or higher.  the downside to this is - cab companies are about to raise their fare rates again - between .50 to $1.00 depending on the average gas price.
