I'm one who wishes they would leave the clocks alone.  The change messes with your body and disrupts your sleep patterns.

We will have at least 7 months of this, it will get dark here tonight around 7:15 p.m.!

How is daylight savings/the new time treating you?

That is one severe case of cabin fever.......

If a presidental canidate really wants my vote, all they need is to have ending DST as a campaign promise.

~FR~
We do not  change our clocks in Arizona.  The last thing we want or need is another hour of daylight!  I didn't even realize the times had changed in the rest of the country until I spoke on the telephone with a relative in another state this afternoon.
Early March and it is only dusk at almost 7PM here.  I remember the time I spent in Ireland and London when it was still light at 10PM!  It was unsettling to say the least! [:)]
No, I love living here.  All I have to do is add an hour to the time difference east of Me or even up with the west coast for these next several months.  I never have to worry about My personal clocks!

amativedame -> RE: How is daylight savings treating you today? (3/9/2008 10:12:18 PM)

I have a love/hate relationship with this early dst time thing.... we get a lot of power outages whenever it rains (almost the whole county lost power for 2 & 1/2 hours yesterday because of wind) so almost all my clocks are the smart set ones that automatically update the time.  Now, I have to set them ahead manually... and then set them back after the rest of the world does DST.  Annoying... but I suppose in the end its worth never being late because the power went out.

petdave -> RE: How is daylight savings treating you today? (3/9/2008 10:19:08 PM)

i wasn't even aware of it until my computer clock updated itself... damn good thing, too, because if it hadn't my wife probably would have missed her flight! [&:]

It'll be nice to still have some daylight left when i get home from work, tho... Makes me feel less like a mushroom, and increases the odds of my actually accomplishing something with the evening.

Sinergy -> RE: How is daylight savings treating you today? (3/9/2008 11:54:34 PM)

I have been off work for 9 months

I have another 9 months to a year to go.

Is it setting the clock forwards or back?

Bumergy

MissSCD -> RE: How is daylight savings treating you today? (3/10/2008 3:57:56 AM)

I like the time better than the other.   I work a lot at night so at least I won't be going into work at night and getting off at night.
On the other hand, I slept most of the day and night which I needed very badly.  I pulled a two week stretch without a day off and was beginning to go crazier than I really am.  You know?

Regards, MissSCD

Haha i'm with Dusty that is the one thing i do appreciate is the clock stays the same...and i'm glad because i don't need it hotter quicker here while sprinting to class.Besides i still won't get any sleep lol

lol, Bumergy
You are not a bum, you just resemble that remark.
Clocks went forward, so the former time now would be 6:30 and now its 7:30a.m.
I am okay with this, where am I ?  who am I? where is that place I am going to go
now?
oh yes, work!

ItalianSMistress -> RE: How is daylight savings treating you today? (3/10/2008 6:08:23 AM)

I LOVE DST, I hate in the winter when it gets dark at like 5pm

Just I have to remember when calling Jamaica, that they dont have it, so are an hour behind Me now [8|]

JustAVixen -> RE: How is daylight savings treating you today? (3/10/2008 8:18:26 AM)

I am exhausted from the time change. Waking up at 3 am instead of 4 am is hard. It is also not nice to be leaving for work in the dark when I had just gotten used to it being dawn as I am leaving for the office at 6 am. It will take me about a week to adjust to the lack of daylight helping me wake up.

MontrealPhoenix -> RE: How is daylight savings treating you today? (3/10/2008 6:14:27 PM)

At the moment - not so much. It just gives us more sunlight hours to look at the snow. At least berfore we couldn't see it so much..
