Ok.  It's a cheap Jon Stewart/Daily Show rip off, but I'm still curious about it.

What, exactly, is your moment of zen?  That thing that makes you happy, content, giddy, or at peace?  Pick that one thing, whether it be shared, or something in your alone time.

As for My moment of zen, My boy recently planted Me a flower garden in front of My house.  Each day, when I am leaving, I take a moment to stop and enjoy them.  I know every new bud that is beginning to open.  I'm unbelievably happy just to see the new flowers come in.  It's My moment of peace.

What is your moment?

If you can put this in context of BDSM, it probably won't get moved.

Prepare for sugar overload:

The moment the door opens after a day at work and we're together again.  Still the best part of every day.

My moment of zen is the 5 minutes before the start gun in a sailboat race.  It's complete chaos all the boats trying to time the start just right and not run into other boats.  Typically at least one boat will get "rubbed" before the start.  It requires complete focus and knowledge of the rules.  My other moment is sailing under a full moon it's magical.

I like to face the sun, close my eyes and then sort of not look at it.

I also like playing with my cat. I like talking about my cat. I like snuggling my cat.

The slave girl has her moments too!

Wind caressing my skin brings forth comfort and peace leaving me with feelings of hope and love.  *smile*

When i'm brushing my kitty and she completely zones out and turns into a little puddle of fur in my lap. So peaceful [:)]

Holding my son. Feeling his life. It makes for my most serene moments.

My moments of Zen are being out in nature, playing music and a nice bath by candlelight with a glass of wine.

Gazing through the mesh in my helmet at the student facing me, mind pondering what sort of obnoxious physical and verbal nastiness I am going to vist her with.

With the deep inner knowledge in my soul that I am simply setting my mugger persona up for another defeat.  Knowing she will thank me for my effort when it is all over.

Making Telemark Turns in deep, fresh snow on a sunny, cold day.  There is nothing at that moment but the turn and bliss.  Awareness expands to such a level that time slows down, and eternity exists within a moment.

GreedyTop -> RE: Moment of zen (3/5/2008 11:20:30 PM)

curled up on the bed, with one cat snuggled up to my tummy, and the other curled up against my feet.

popeye1250 -> RE: Moment of zen (3/5/2008 11:21:25 PM)

Probably sitting on my back porch in the morning drinking that 1st or 2nd cup of coffee watching the golfers and thinking how lucky I am.
Oh and like Churro and Petdave going to bed and having Bubba my cat plop down next to me and purr as I scratch behind his ears.
He's a big slob.

Cheesey as it will sound, when my Master smiles or laughs.

Standing with my feet in the water at the Pacific, listening to the waves crash.

Standing at the edge of the cliff at the Marin Headlands, looking out over the water, the ships coming in and out of SF, and Point Bonita Light House.  (It's where I visit my Dad, whose ashes were dispursed over the water).

When my 5 year old nephew comes bolting out of the house, arms outstretched, shouting my name repeatedly until he throws his body at me in a major - leagued hug with his eyes all sparkly and lit up, and when I spend the night over there, when he and his 7 year old sister climb into bed with me in the morning and snuggle.  That's just heaven.

When my pfs (she knows who she is) lets herself into my apartment as I'm lying on the couch and lays herself down right on top of me and we just lie there that way and talk.

A really moving piece of music.

Being on the beach looking out at the vastness of the ocean.  All my senses feel heightened, the feel of the breeze, the sound of the waves, the scent of the water, the sheer hugeness of it all.  It puts me in a very distinctive emotional state that I've never felt in any other situation. I find it impossible to even explain it, but it's almost like an out of body experience, or a hypnotic kind of thing or something-- it's extremely spiritual for me and it actually moves me to tears sometimes.

darchChylde -> RE: Moment of zen (3/6/2008 1:48:20 AM)

Ma'am touching me, any contact really; i really am just that easy.  It sends me to a happy place; not subspace, but an overwhelming sense of well-being.

LadyPact -> RE: Moment of zen (3/6/2008 2:13:05 AM)

Yes, I probably should have expected it moved.  I didn't get slapped on the wrists for it being in the wrong section, so I'm good with it.  Thanks for all of the interesting and well thought replies.

Zen and I seem to have parted ways, some time ago.

dawntreader -> RE: Moment of zen (3/6/2008 5:01:19 AM)
