I think we can safely say that the state of Ohio has officially dethroned Florida as the state with the most screwed up election. Again multiple voting problems are reported....

http://blog.dispatch.com/primary/2008/03/clinton_obama_camps_see_voting.shtml

If the general election comes down to Ohio this November....the candidate that can cheat the best will win. This state is messed up bad.... There was one guy on TV who said he's not sure if he might have voted 3 times or none at all. He says the machine kept messing up and poll workers kept telling him to come back later and try again. And apparently a judge had to remove some poll watchers from the Obama campaign were being accused of intimidating voters entering the polling locations.

They are phasing the electronic machines out in Florida and will be gone by November's election. Most counties down there are going to scantrons.

I dont know what Ohio is doing, if anything.

we had paper ballots with the fill-in-the-oval choices and they still screwed up somehow, supposedly they ran out of democratic ballots somewhere and the ice storm we had made getting to the polls a bit tough.  some judge kept the polls open for awhile longer, i think they closed at 9pm finally in certain areas.  now watch some jackass in another area file suit claiming things were unfair somehow.  these morons at our board of elections could screw up a wet dream!

Our Fl. county is going to the scanned paper balots. Thank god. No more hanging chads.

I read some of the comments on the orig article and it just proves how stupid the fellow American is.

There are rules for all poll workers. http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/electionlaw/ebook/part5/procedures_rules.html   I have been a precinct captain previously. The Obama camp broke some polling place rules. ( there are some serious rules set in place for everyone) But of course it being Obama his camp shouldnt get called on the carpet for it. Only Hillary is a bad bad naughty girl. As evidenced by her pointing it out.

The turn out was of course going to be very high.. we were amazed by our numbers even though we were disenfranchised here in Fl. They should have been prepared with enough ballots.

I hope all the states get thier shit together by Nov. any state dumb enough to have bought into the whole diebold machines should have them sold back to that company.

and of course.. how to hack a Diebold machine... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marty-kaplan/how-to-hack-a-diebold-vot_b_26301.html

I have never voted anywhere except in Arizona.  After signing My name (and, now, showing ID), I am given a paper ballot.  There is a special marker in the booth.  I draw heavy black lines or fill in a circle (kind of like multiple choice!  ).  Then I put the ballot into the official recepticle.  After that I hope it gets sent to the right place and counted.
We don't have problems here.   But then, we're just a stupid "red" state.

Dusty, that's exactly how we vote here. Now, they tried to use some machines in the next county over, and had serious problems.....
