The qb is a different skill position than a receiver.  Ben also received a long-term contract, so in essence he is being paid for expectations of major future performance at a high level.

Thank you for sticking up for me.  In a bj discussion, anything beyond the mouth and tongue is wasted, no?

Brett Favre was one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. There will never be anyone like him. The Pack will be a very good team in 2008 even without him.. ( Aaron Rodgers )GO PACK

I've hated green bay even with farve....even because of him. Last season was a total fluke.

I just loved how in 149 or so attempts, ol' brett never had a single interception. THEN he come to DALLAS and is intercepted TWICE in the first half AND injured. Wuss.

Brett Favre is a certain first ballot Hall of Famer. He was one of the best.
I heard an interesting fact about him on a sports talk show this morning. His first NFL career pass completion was to himself. The pass deflected off a lineman and came back to him. And the rest is history.

I think Smith117 is still upset about the Ice Bowl. Just what did Dallas do in the playoffs this year anyway.? I remember, the Giants beat them at home too....

That's easy, the INJURED Dallas team lost on a fluke. Nothing more. Nothing nearly so bad as the beating we gave the brownie packers when we broke their beloved qb.

Let's not forget what happened to the brownie packers in the playoffs. They didn't do so hot either. They choked big time, at their own stadium too.

Brett Farve is a great Hall of Fame QB and he will be missed greatly on the field.

I will though for not one nanosecond miss the off season the past three years where he as acted as a complete spoiled attention whoring baby. He has acted like the only kid in the neighborhood with a football trying to get his ass kissed and have everyone do what he wants in order for him to come out and play.
