'I just want the mouth God gave me': Can botched plastic surgery be "undone"? http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-wellbeing/features/i-just-want-the-mouth-god-gave-me-can-botched-plastic-surgery-be-undone-789151.html Unfortunately, Graham's scars are there to stay. And therein lies the truth about "undo-plasty" – there is often no such thing as "undoing" plastic surgery. There might be room for improvement, but there is no going back. Plastic surgeon Alex Karidis believes the rise in "undo-plasties" has been misunderstood. "Plastic surgery has been on the increase over the past five years, so statistically you're going to have a higher proportion of people having problems," he points out. Having said that, Karidis concedes that "some patients' expectations are well off the radar... It's not an exact science, and people must realise their limitations." ----- I'm a plastic surgery nay-sayer. I just can't see the point of correcting the sort of minor physical defects people like to get worked up about. Be careful for what you wish for out there... ----- Just as an aside, what is it with the apparent UK obsession with Courtney Love? Has she even released any music of late? Starred in a movie? Done anything of interest at all? Is it enough to be a professional widow? Once upon a time, she was within my circle of friends and I was talked out of asking her out. Even then she was dealing with drug abuse issues and I was assured by mutual friends that she and I would not get along. But she was young and far prettier then, so for a while I kept her in my peripheral vision. This was long before the endless "beauty treatments" that have since made her so ugly. Is that it? She's a visible train-wreck - it's fun to point and laugh at her? Kinda sad, really...
