When my mother died suddenly, she and my father had been divorced for 17 years.  He'd been remarried for 10.  I remember that he went through some horribly conflicted emotions.  After all, he loved her once--and parts of him still did.  But she did make his life more difficult, even decades out.  (That's what happens when you have kids--you're always married, no matter what.)

My sympathies for your loss.  I hope she is at peace.

I am very sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you.  It's unfortunate that some just don't understand alternative relationships.

I just want to thank everyone for the support shown here.  It was a rough week and I am glad its over, for now.  When her body comes back, we will have to bury the ashes.  I am having My mothers grave opened and Dian put in there.  My kids are doing remarkably well.  I am so happy for that.  I did not tell anyone she was My sister, anyone that was asking, already knew she was not.  I met and heard from lots of her family I had not met, you know how funerals do that, that was interesting.  Everyone was very supportive.  Anyway, I am back around, somewhat, dont really feel like sitting here, or anywhere for that matter, for any amount of time.
