Gay men and lesbians shouldnt worry about having to be "cured", shunned from their religion or unable to marry their true love just because their genders match. ID even go so far as to say that happily Poly families should be permitted more than one marriage assuming BOTH currently wed parties consent. But, thats just MY perfect society and I am sure theres someone in there that would still be unhappy. DV

As much as I love and enjoy submissive women, I wouldn't encourage a return to "a more traditional society where women are very much submissive to their men and expected to be obedient to them" for one very simple reasons: many women aren't submissive. Submission, when it is a conscious choice, is a gift to the sub's Master. Submission, when it is forced upon an individual against their will, is a wrong. Submission, when it is forced upon a particular segment of society, is oppression.

Its interesting, some of the answers. For some their idea of a "perfect" world would be one where challenges were removed, where everything was easy. Others prefer a world where there are challenges, risks, obstacles, difficulties... even danger. Some want all women to be submissive, or all men... and I can't help but wonder why. People are the most fascinating critters.

It would certainly be a better world, (although not a prefect one) if sex between straights were as easy as it is in the gay world. If anything is a major attractor to me about the gay/bi scene, it's how uncomplicated it is to hook up with someone. In the striaght world, you have to set up a date, go to a movie, maybe see this person a couple of times before deciding to get between the sheets... In the gay world, you see some guy across the bar, you buy him a drink, a few minutes flirting, and ten minutes later you're headed either to his place or yours. Why the hell can't it ALL be like that?

In my perfect society, I am Emperor of Canada. I am a fair but tough ruler, when I'm not skiing, which would be pretty often. Things are mostly just like they are now in Canada with occasional edicts from the Office of the Emperor. I encourage you to buy some maple syrup or perhaps take a vacation in Vancouver, it's a lovely city. Now I need to go check on the progress of my palace.

Hmm. My dream world would be one, where everyone was pagan,(or similiar.)bisexual, No STD's, no worries of getting pregnant, (until a person/couple want to.) univirsal health care, 8 days a week,(4 days work,4 days off.)............failing that, A world where (like most of the people on here.) where we can allowed to be who and what are without fear of discrimination.

Not sure how old the OP is but I expect too young to have experienced her utopia where women were also 2nd class citizens, who earned significantly less were limited on what jobs and education they could have, who if they ended up in an abusive marriage or relationship society , police and judges turned a blind eye, who if they chose to leave had to leave their children behind because they would never have the income to support their children on their own, where gays were beaten if they were found out, where women who were raped where usually accused of being too flirtatious or dressed too sexy so deserved what they got , where teenage girls should they happened to get pregnant where sent away to schools to unwed mothers to give birth and have their babies taken away from them and adopted out and then if lucky were allowed home but the baby would never be discussed again. You can have your utopia , mine is where I have the right to make my own choices on to who and how I am willing to submit, where if need be I can independently support myself and own my own home and go to school and choose what ever I want for a career and get paid the same as a man doing to same work, my utopia would include one domination man who is compatible with me to offer myself up to, I have no wish to be subservient to all

I'd love to live in a society where everyone was as equal as they would like to be, meaning equal rights for everyone and you use them if you wish too. I imagine a place where people could live their lives the way that they wanted regardless of sexual orientation. I would love to live in a society where no ones personality type (Dominant, sub, switch etc) was dictated by their genitals because of some closed minded individuals. To me this would be the perfect society, everyone could do their own thing without fear of being ostracized, thrown in jail or brutalized. ~Lashra
