Music that gets me in the mood, or music that I would happily scene to -

Airdrawndagger - Sasha

Happy 2B Hardcore - Anabolic Frolic (but ONLY for 10 minutes or so, I'm not THAT much of a masochist)

Any and all things by Darude

Fashion Rules-Chicks on Speed by Keoki Clash

The Underground (Addictive Trip Mix) - Celeda .....this one HAS to be heard, it's so fantastic

Track 1 from Global House Diva - DJ Irene

Sexual (Thunderpuss Remix) - Amber

A MUST for a Goth sex party - I Do Both Jay and Jane - LaRissa

Darren R. - The History of Hardhouse - all the tracks on here are good

**The Sound of Violence - Cassius

End the evening with Rapture, from The Politics of Dancing by Paul Van Dyke.

Ravers rule, dude. We're the sub culture that came come up with "Vampire Stripper Sluts from Outer Space" as an annual Halloween party. Don't knock it till you've swung a glow stick and tried it.

Frank Zappa's "The Torture Never Stops"..it is off the album or cd if you prefer.."Zoot Allures".Steve Miller's "Song for our Ancestors"is pretty good too if you can find it.It is off his very first album way back in 1968 called "Sailor".

When I had only just read the subject of the thread, the first thing that popped to mind is Portishead, both their 1994 album, Dummy, and their 1997 self-titled album, Portishead.

When playing with a sub I tend toward music with a trip-hop or lounge feel -- Portishead, Theivery Corporation, Massive Attack, Zero 7. I find that sort of music sensual, so it sets the mood/tone well.

My favorites for a "Goth" atmosphere would be "Midnight Syndicate." Very popular around Halloween, their albums play like soundtracks to some velvet and lace turn of the century vampire film. Few to no lyrics, they support to mood without being distracting. Their albums: "Born of the Night" "Realm of Shadows" "Vampyre" and "Dungeons and Dragons" are especially good for a playspace. "Gates of Delirium" and "The 13th Hour" both have tracks that teeter on the edge of being sound effects, and as such can be a little too distracting.

All are available year round at their website, or on ebay.
