I'm not comfy with some stranger touching me and being that close to me :(

You'll have to get over it. If you actually are as large as you say, you may be best off going to a plastic surgern and getting them to measure you. I didn't get an accurate size until the pre-surgery consult for my breast reduction. Once I had the proper cup size, I had to nearly bully the saleswomen into letting me try on the H-cup bra. They were trying to stuff me into bras far too small because I wasn't fat enough to be a H cup in their opinion.

dollparts85 -> RE: Bra sizing? (2/26/2008 9:35:28 PM)

LOL no way I would get a breast reduction...they're only a little big b/c I'm fat...once I lose weight, they'll get smaller. Before I gained all the weight I was only a 36d.

If you are confused, go to a good lengerie store and have them measure you. When I went for the brides maid dress, they measured me and I was kinda surprised by my measurements all the way around (I have an hourglass figure... who knew?)  but they were nowhere near anything I ever measured when I did it myself at home. Might be worth going in and having done once.

Well, let's assume for the moment that you were writing to "them"....the female ones....however, you responded to me...Gris....and you suggested that I go to a store and have myself measured for (what I have to presume is some of them girly things.

Let's just be clear...I don't wear lingerie....I have no current interest in wearing lingerie, nor do I have any current plans for being outfitted for a Brides Maid dress....however...should this ever become a priority to me...I've saved your link.

(And I suspect your last sentence....would truly do me not a lot of good).

LOL Gris...I bet you'd be cute in some pink lacey lingerie ;) hehe

If you'll read it again, you'll notice I wasn't suggesting you should. However, I spent 4-5 years as a H cup, repeatedly measured wrong by women over and over. I only got the correct size when I saw the doctor, hence the suggestion. A F is only a touch smaller than a H, if you really are that large you may be best served seeing a doctor simply to be measured.

By the way, depending on your body they won't get smaller as you lose weight. Mine wouldn't, hence the surgery. Also, Fs aren't a "little big". You either grossly misjudged your cup size or your breasts are quite sizable.

Well since you obviously know what you're doing, then why did you post here asking if you were correct?

by the way your 48DDD (i think) bra is fitting, i would suggest a 50 or 52 E depending on what your posture was when you were taking the picture (like if you had your arms pulled forward, go with a 50, if they were hanging loosely at your side, go with a 52) and then go from there...there are some lane bryants that have in store supplies with sizes that large but not all of them... you can go in and grab bras off the shelf and try them on until you find what works...they are small botique sized shops with racks of clothes...not at all like a department store, i hate those places, and they have pretty bra's

I always found the solution to this when I was married (even though, when she was nekkid {or clothed}...I swear to GAWWWWDDDD I could never tell the difference) was to say...."Honey, here's my credit card...come back when it's entirely empty and you feel like you've accomplished whatever clothing goal you feel the need to achieve....I love you....everything about you, and you are, and have always been my dream girl".

Then she'd kiss me, spend almost the entire weekend looking at clothing with several of her girlfriends, come back having spent about $150.00 on lunches....buy a shirt (sorry...a "blouse") and tell me over and over how much she loved me.

(6 years later I divorced the loon....but that's neither here nor there).

You can get custom made bras. They are pricey, but well made and exactly what you want!

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: Bra sizing? (2/26/2008 9:48:30 PM)

pfft...braless is better.  they look bigger without a bra and you can see the nip's.

dollparts85 -> RE: Bra sizing? (2/26/2008 9:48:34 PM)

I only buy clothing online.

I dunno... I love my bras, particularly post-reduction. I can wear all the cute ones now, so I'm going bra-crazy. Plus it provides an extra pocket to put my ID and cash for bar hopping! [:)]

I've already lost 3 inches in my chest, and I know people who have gone from a DD cup to an B cup with weight loss.

And when you compare my breasts to the rest of my body, they aren't that big. Hell, my stomach is bigger than my breasts.

It is so not FTG. I have G cup boobies and believe me, they keep my knee's warm and toasty on a cold winters night[:D].

Having a stomach bigger than your breasts isn't that hard. If you are a F cup, your breasts are quite sizable. Now, if they aren't that big, you simply messed up in sizing yourself. However, if they are large I don't know if it is your genetics or body fat. For me, it was genetics and there was nothing weight loss could do for me. The idea that every woman's breasts will shrink with weight loss is a complete myth, otherwise there would be no thin women with naturally large breasts.

And again - I'm not suggesting you should get a reduction. I'm suggesting that if you are that large, you might be better off biting the bullet and letting the doctor measure you. All the saleswomen I encountered were completely unprepared to measure and fit a woman with my size breasts. Considering they have training and you don't, I strongly doubt you will do a better job yourself at home looking at the internet. However, if you are comfortable with getting bra advice from random strangers on the internet, go for it.

dollparts85 -> RE: Bra sizing? (2/26/2008 10:02:13 PM)

well, my breasts got bigger as I gained weight, so I'm assuming they will get smaller as I lose. I was a 38dd at 12 years old, then I lost about 30 lbs and got down to a 36d...and maintained that until around 17-18 my thyroid messed up and I gained a ton of weight.

but when your hopping...dont your boobs go up and down? so then your id and cash would fall out.

MissMagnolia -> RE: Bra sizing? (2/26/2008 11:14:42 PM)

I never hop. Never. I couldn't take the risk of knocking myself out.

However, who told you I keep all my valuables in what I call "The Vault"??[:D]

The vast majority of women will have some weight loss in their breasts if they lose weight. It is one of the last places I lose and one of the first I gain in, but I do lose in my breast eventually. The point is that if you put on weight disportionately in your breasts compared to the rest of your body, it will not change that just because you lose weight...

It is frustrating because I would probably look thinner if my breasts were smaller, I am still in a 36 DD and wear a size 8/10
