Hi everybody my names Jake. I am a sub who has recently musturd the nerve to persue this interest a little more. I was originally put off by the personals of Dommes either looking for money or not interested a caring relationship. I have since learned not everyone is like that but you just have to look hard. I am just trying to get to know some new friends and in doing reaffirm my belief that Dommes can really be interested in a relationship. If I find someone cool. But I hope I find some new friends.

Hi Jake, welcome to a strange world. I'm fairly new here & find it a little offputting myself; but I suppose it's no different anywhere where we are new. Wading through profiles of Dommes is, for you, probably just as frustrating as wading through profiles of submissives is for me. I've found that 9 out of 10 either lie about themselves or have no intention of coming out from behind their computer. Aggravating, but this is the 21st century, & this is networking. I still find most of my prospects the "ole fashioned" way, going to parties & fetish events. At least, when I meet boys on here, if they haven't tried the local community, I can give them the websites & contacts to get started. So again, welcome! Everyone tells me patience is key here; kind of like fishing. You go fishing every afternoon for 5 years & you might catch a few fish during that time; maybe even the big one! Good fortune fishing! Thanks. I am trying to get involved locally but I must say there is a lot more going on in Tampa then there is in Cape Coral, lol (two hours south of you by chance). I really shouldn't be complaining. I live in-between two of the biggest groups of BDSM people in the country (Tampa and Miami). I guess it is just really intimidating. I have gone to a few local munches and parties. I totally agree with your observation that 9/10 are just looking for I don't know what. I liked your fishing analogy. It's like go do X, have a beer and relax and have fun with friends. Fishing is not about catching fish for most people and chatting it up on here or at a munch isn't about finding the one. But every once in a while when you are least ready a good one tugs on the line and you hold on for dear life.

Hmmmmmmm, ask for understanding and friends and then bag the crap out of most of the people on the site. Good start. Try refraining from being rude about the majority of us. Maybe then you will find friends. Miss Magnolia Head of the Fake Dommes Dept.
