You can also put needles into the skin and pop the cups over them.  If the needle is hollow all teh way through, blood will come spurting out the other end into the cup.  Half inchers sunk deep (with just the hub above skin surface) into muscle/fat will be short enough for standard cups to fit over the hub. Alternately, you can get acupuncture needles designed for use in the hands.  They're itty bitty and cups fit right over them, no problem.  

Fifth Angel uses a drill press to make holes in glass and plastic cups then fits them with rubber flanges so needles can be stuck into the cups after they've been applied.  Hubs can be capped off to prevent blood from exiting or left open to allow blood to escape without losing vacuum.  Because he's a twisted and sick sadistic mofo, he'll also twist the cups while he's got a couple of needles inserted in the flanges and sunk into skin. 

I need to get me a drill press and some rubber flanges.  ; )

Slugs as in arthropods?  They'll draw blood, but they don't respond well if you light them on fire, I'd guess.

Oh I own both types of cupping sets, plus a nice violet wand, along with a variety of electric play intstuments and much more.  Since I rebuilt my bag it is full of all my favs.
I just didn't know you could use a penny in a cupping set and spark it with the wand.
If that danged wand didn't set me into subspace on contact I would do it to myself as a test.  Looks like I need to find a guineapig for that.
