i was just reading another thread in here about rude messages ( by smilezz, i think her name is) stating that we are on the "...world wide web...and all this from a pixel on the screen that i have never met ...so what's to be pissed off about" Think it fits in here as well.
(hehehe....my first ever posting[:)] ...lol hope it works....Hi All)

eh it wasent him. I have a distinct feeling the one being rude in here is...whats the word. A troll? looking to start shit. And i was rude back to him. it gets to be a habit after years and years of people calling me anorexic and the like

How long have you had an eating disorder? Of course I am assuming that you are not abusing drugs, dudette. Have you always been emotionally vulnerable? It seems like you have self-image issues. I would like to encourage you to get therapy. It will help you and it is nothing to be ashamed of, really.

I hope this helps in some way.

SensualPassion41 -> RE: Mean messages (2/20/2008 4:11:27 AM)

I agree, the man who messaged you was way out of line.  That being said, could you have taken a moment to say "just a moment", "hold on" or something along those lines?

orfunboi -> RE: Mean messages (2/20/2008 4:24:02 AM)

This is the internet and just like out in the real world, there are really rude people on here and your just going to have to learn how to ignore them.

MissLily -> RE: Mean messages (2/20/2008 4:33:06 AM)

Well before they nuke it, which would be a very good thing since our friend abdula here can't seem to behave himself, I just want to say that I get rude messages too.

I normally don't answer oneliners, but when people write something decent, I normally answer. Often times it's a "I can't take you" or "I'm already training someone at the moment" message, always polite. It would be debasing Myself to get rude.

Well poeple still manage to get offended. But hey, rejection is a hard thing to take.

But I think some of the rudest things I've recieved so far are from male doms. I've had some very nice messages from them too, of course, but man, it was like I was pissing in their territory or something (for the mean ones, not the nice ones!!)...

Miss Lily

does it really offend or upset you that much, when a complete stranger draws a snap conclusion about you, based on one visual-aide... and makes a rude comment??
Isnt that THEIR lacking and not yours?
You give their comment credibility by exercising it in public.

welcome to the world of size discrimination...its the one last remaining ACCEPTABLE bigotry ...(many of us, including myself, have had to learn a healthy way of dealing with it).

Feel sorry for the twit..hit the clear/delete button..hug yourself and move on.

shared smiles.

and on a more serious note OP...everyone gets mean messages.  i hope eventually they will become humorous to you. try not to let someone else have so much power over you from an online message.

Wow. She never said she was anorexic, or that she had an eating disorder. Just that she is tired of people assuming that because she is skinny. OB I think perhaps you were joking? I hope she recovers from nasty email because it simply isn't worth any amount of angst.

Sorry, don`t take it personally. It`s not anything you did or didn`t do.

That anger and inability to handle themselves is just under the surface for a lot of people.

Think of it as a "thank god I found he was a jerk" gift. Not as an insult or put down.

Kirren -> RE: Mean messages (2/20/2008 8:04:52 AM)

The internet is like the real world. The cool thing here, is there is an ignore button.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Mean messages (2/20/2008 9:11:29 AM)

When someone doesnt get the response they want right away, they have to find a reason to make you undesireable, rather than cope with the possibility of rejection.  Think the Fox and the Grapes theory, Oh, i cant have them, they must be sour anyway.
If your skinny, thats the problem.  If your fat, thats the problem. If your blonde, brunette, redhead, tall, short, endowned, flat... whatever you are, it'll magically become what they detest. Smile, laugh, realize how juvenile thet are ad move on.  And, if it makes you feel better, you can always quote the Fox and the Grapes. I do.
