..I'm pretty sure a natural disaster will take out some large, developed country to mark this occasion.. but even I agree with her.

Yeah, it's freaky.

Holy fuck. Must be something in the air, tonight.

You know, I stopped to think about it.

Some events only happen every so often, statistically.  Like planet-destroying asteriods bringing on the end of most life on Earth.  We're sort of overdue for one of those, you know.

But I think this one event was so astronomically unlikely that its occurance has knocked the statistics way off; the asteriod might not hit for another billion years now.

We saved the world!

I had a similar thought myself; our pebble diverted the collision that would have ended our world as we know it.

Curious, this is a great day in the history of collarme.

Perhaps for once, I'll take exception to my rule, and I'll say a little prayer of gratitude. I shall sleep well, tonight.

       Don't read too much into it, Curious.  She and I, for instance, probably reached the same conclusion based on entirely different criteria.  Mine, because the business of speechmaking and debate interests me, she for some obscure reason that only makes sense to the French.  Like the horn on a Peugeot.

Nah, I left France years ago. Besides, I'm half British.

No, Herr Etic, we had this in common, something rigid. It's pure beauty. I too have an unhealthy interest in Politics.

This was a true cosmic sign. I'm in awe.

I wish I could quote it, but one scientist said something to the effect of, "The secret to originiality is being good at hiding your sources."  (Although a bit more eloquently put.  I want to say it may've been Einstein, but not sure about that.)

(Quite obvious that Albert was speaking in jest there.)

I like Obama...It really comes down that I would prefer to be fucked by a smooth talking Illinois SOB than a Texan dolt.

You just feel so stupid when you get fucked by the dolt. At least Obama deserved to get into my pants....He said that he would call! And it actually sounded damn near authentic!

Not at all in jest!  Very little of what Einstein came up with, from E=mc^2 to the solution to the photoelectric effect (which was, oddly enough, what won him the Nobel prize) were hardly his own orginial ideas.  Not to knock him, though; I'm quite fond of the fellow.  Just.. that's the way Science goes.

You know, I'm really sick right now.  It's killing me, and I don't know why I'm so exhausted.  So I'm afraid I'll have to duck out of explaining fully what I mean, but I think it's quite beautiful.. how all of this work comes together.

To give a quick rant (as I still have a freaking exam to study for), ..okay, a VERY quick rant.. Einstein basically extended one idea (of Planck's, I think?) to ..what was it, electrons?  God, my Physics professor would kill me if he could see me in this state..    The idea was of quantization, I think.  From there, he used classical Physics to solve for the function, and bam- Nobel prize.

I'd get into relativity, but I really feel like I'm dying here.  Not to whine, just.. it's really starting to scare me.  So, for another time, when I'm not so silly.

Bull.

Bush is definitely running.

McCain,in his wisdom and brilliance has in the last few weeks,flip flopped on every major principled stance he ever had.

He voted against Bush`s "leave no millionaire behind" bill,now he want`s to make the cuts permanent.

He got the ball rolling on the torture ban,now he`s backing off of that.

He wants to stay in Iraq for forever(see 100 years),and sings bad versions Beach Boys songs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-zoPgv_nYg

And after being a victim of Bush/Rove during the 2000 election,he just said,

"I have a very good relationship with this president. I'm glad he won in 2000 and 2004. We have had some disagreements, but we share many, many values and principles of our Republican Party," continued Senator McCain, who was once a bitter enemy of Bush.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"In a recent interview with Fox News, President George W. Bush said he would support McCain's candidacy if the Arizona senator becomes the Republican Party's nominee for the 2008 White House race."
That`s so warm and cozy.Talk about licking your abuser`s boots.
At this point today,McCain is Bush,in word and position.He has sold out on everything I respected him for.
I once thought that at least McCain won`t go dirty(the way Bush/Rove went against him)in the general election.That he wouldn`t stoop so low and would excoriate and distance himself from the douche bags who did.
I`m not so sure anymore about that.If he sold his soul to the devil to get the nomination,what else would he do to become president?He`s just arrogant enough to think that the ends justify the means.
Big deal. Show me a politician with an original thought and I'll show you a failed politician. A politician being too original would freak the markets and so the people who would vote for him/her.
