i'm not judging nor looking to be flamed...but i'm curious about something...oftentimes i'll view a Dom's profile and he's listed as straight but is seeking both female subs and "TVs"...does this cause anyone else to wonder whether they are straight or bi-sexual? Believe it or not, i have been around many bi-sexuals, lesbians, AND gays...and i'm still unsure of what this means.

Is anyone else curious or am i reading too much into this?

The lines get kinda fuzzy when you look at distinctions like that. However if you like women and also men who put in the effort to present as women, that is certainly different from being bi and liking both men and women.

If he will have sex with the either a transvestite or a female, I read that to mean he's somewhat bisexual and probably uncomfortable about it.

Phrased the right way, it might work. I'm betting if you say that you mean no disrespect but are REALLY curious about how they identify that type of play and why, some will write you back. Promise...then keep the promise...to not judge them. Let them know you'd like to ask some very frank questions about it in order to learn something new.

With some Gender Oreintation, and sexual identity as well as compatability can be very fluid.

I have a friend who identifys as a straight male Dom. He will only date Transgendered M2F women. He finds them to be much more feminine then naturaly born females. *shrugs*

We gave it a go for a bit years ago. I was the first natural born female he had dated in more then a couple of decades.

Because of the emotional and mental gender of the other party is female to his male does that mean he is still straight? or does it mean because they have the male extras under the skirt mean my Dom friend is actualy gay? Personaly I dont think it matters. I will go for the emotional gender role every time when faced with emotional vs. physical. ~ you learn that after dating a hermaphrodite. The physical can be changed... it is the emotional that sticks.

as mentioned transvestites are different and are essentialy just dudes in dresses... now that would qualify as gay because there is no emotional gender re-assingment in the partner.. just one dude in a dress, and one not in a dress. Totaly different ball of wax.

I hope this clears it up a bit.

I am one such. It is simple enough. I like women, as friends and lovers, a lot.

I find I get the same good reaction with transgendered and transvestite girls, so long as I can 'suspend disbelief'.

They don't have to be entirely 'passable', so long as there is nothing about them that is unambiguously masculine.

Just so long as any social or sexual inter-reaction is along the lines of things I may do with 'real' women.

I have many men friends, who don't cross-dress but I would never consider having them as lovers, I just get no 'buzz'; with them that way.

I am entirely easy with my sexuality; I am the way I am by finding out what does it for me; if I thought I was bisexual or gay, I'd accept it; but I am not.

I think that everyone in their early days in the lifestyle wants to sort people into clearly labelled, mutually exlcusive categories.

Then you realise life is not quite lke that, boundaries and definitions are far more fuzzy than ever you expected.

I'm straight. I have no desire to form a sexual relationship with men. I've tried it and it just doesn't do anything for me.

Any sexual relationship I enter into is with a woman, I don't differentiate between biological and post op TS.

I do get a lot of enjoyment from males in feminine dress etc. It's the 'forced' / humiliation aspect of it basically. At least that's the closest I can get to catagorising it.
A submissive male in their female personae giving me a BJ as part of a scene is great. The same person in their male personae is of no interest at all.

A male sub in role as a butler, is just someone doing some jobs for me. The same person in their female personae as a maid, is very enjoyable.

I'm not sure if that means I'm bi, 90% straight or what. It's just who and what I am.

I do find that describing myself as straight, gives a much clearer and honest image of me. Whether others consider me as straight, bi, gay or confused, doesn't really matter. Just as long as those I'm involved with are clear about what's on offer etc.

I don't know if that answers your questions at all, but hope it is a little of an insight?

In terms of me owning a male slave, it would be for non-sexual service purposes. I actually think I'd whore him out or share him with a Domme I was friends with. Also, if he was a T-Girl, he better make one believable looking one. Man, I've seen some really ugly looking dudes attempting to look like women. I'd rather see the sights of a man looking like a man.

I've never looked for a male slave before. Though the power dynamic does appeal to me at times, just owning another person and all. Again, for non-sexual sevice use. LOL...

Possibly reading too much into it. EXAXCTLY what is being sought? If I was taking on a service submissive then sexuality isn't a factor. I am straight... that means I am only sexualy interested in females, however I have been known to occassionaly play with or be served by male subs also (Last time was when a Mistress of My aquaintence asked to observe My flogging style and offered her boy as the demo bunny).

sex is only a part of what We do and it is an important part when it comes to Ownership, but not so much in a playpartner or service sub as sex isn't always part of that.

Miss Prim and I make a disstinction between what we call; "Make-me" special girls and "Accept-me" special girls.

The 'make-me' girls include all the fans of 'forced feminisation' and similar scenes; all the 'men in frocks' and some more passable ones. Generally they not even have their own make-up, underwear, wig, or much in the way of clothes, etc. They are the staple of dressing services, and many pro-dommes, because without getting paid for it, few really want to play with them, as they can be very self-centred, tiresome and needy.

The 'accept me' girls, want to be accepted as girls, and will do whatever it takes for that to happen. They include pre- and post-op TS girls, men who live 24/7 as women without benefit of surgery or hormones, girls who'd have gone for re-assignment if it had not been for the kids, the wife, the neighbours, the job, the pension, etc. They will generally have the full monte, drawers full of underwear, a huge make-up kit, wigs galore (or long hair), shoes, outfits for all occasions.

Some in both groups are attracted exclusively to women, 'lesbian special girls'. some are atttracted to men, 'straight special girls' and most are atttracted to both.

It is not uncommon either to find one who fancies only women when dressed as a man, and only men when dressed as a woman ...

To complicate it further, most are submissive, but some will be submissive to men and women; but only attracted to one gender.

Or submissive to one gender but dominant with the other. Or are switches.

So, to get a real idea of the possible permutations you have to visualise series of overlapping Venn diagrams.

Simple apparently mutually exclusive labels like 'bisexual' or 'straight' can have many nuances of meaning.

They are simply inadequate to convey the full range and depth of what can happen.

So it is entirely possible that a 'straight' TV can suck off a 'straight' guy: where it would be next to impossible that it would be a voluntary act for either of them the other way around, despite the fact that both are fully equipped to do so. But if they were both bi, then it could happen very easily.

I'll boil it down to real simple terms;

"If it walks like woman, dresses like a woman, acts like a woman, talks like a woman, and looks like a woman, its a woman; regardless of the actual physical bits they might be endowed with"

I've met women who act, dresse, and look more like a guy than I do; its complete turn-off and they could offer themselves on a silver platter and I'd still say no.
I've met a few TS/TV's who were better looking and more feminine than any of the other actual women in the room; they idea of playing with them is..... great fun.

I agree completly. its who they are upstairs that (to me) defines their gender. a post hormone-pre-op does seem to have the best of both worlds;)

as far as the straight/Bi thing goes: personally I consider myself bi only because I am open to a guy who I find attractive. the fact that its VERY VERY few and far between doesn't change that... Mostly straight? Straight but occasionally makes exceptions..perhaps they are better descriptors. but eventually you just have to remember you can't fully classify your self your tastes and your preferences and everything that makes you who you are into little bite size descriptors and profiles and check lists.

I call myself "straight" because I'm attracted to female bodies, not male ones. However, I'm fluid enough that "formerly male" doesn't bother me at all.

i'm sure that this has already been mentioned but if you're looking for say an FTM who identifies as male how does that make you queer? your partner is male. just not bio male.

Honestly, I'm not curoious as to their orientation. I really could care less. As long as they are happy with that they're doing, its fine with me, and frankly, none of my concern.

I have to say I would not consider a guy straight if he were intentionally looking for and aroused by being with TVs.
