MzMia -> Maryland, DC, Virginia primaries tomorrow (2/11/2008 8:16:27 PM)

Well, the Metro area will be voting tomorrow.
I am not sure how it will go.
I am thinking Maryland as a state may go to Hillary.
I am thinking D.C. may go to Hillary.
I am not sure what the hell Virginia will do!

No matter what it will be interesting.

CuriousLord -> RE: Maryland, DC, Virginia primaries tomorrow (2/11/2008 8:20:32 PM)

Bah.  Not on a weekend?  No way in hell I'm going to get the time to go vote.

tsk, tsk, tsk!
You need to go vote, young man!

CuriousLord -> RE: Maryland, DC, Virginia primaries tomorrow (2/11/2008 8:30:19 PM)

Yeah, right.

Classes come first.  And I have them from 8 AM to 11 PM tommorow with a 45-minute lunch break and 15 minutes between them otherwise for moving between classes and switching out books.

Bah.  Actually, forget the lunch break.  I have a quiz to stop by and make up from when I had the flu.  Oh, yeah, and I don't even get sleep tonight.. still haven't done the partial differential equations homework or studied for the pchem quiz.

Long, frustated rant short.. no way in hell.

Fair enough.  But do understand the consequence of not making time is that you surrender all bitching rights about the outcome.

Rich, just what I was thinking.

How do you think your fair state will vote?

Shawn1066 -> RE: Maryland, DC, Virginia primaries tomorrow (2/11/2008 8:48:31 PM)

Here's hoping that a certain candidate I like continues to surprise people even though it's almost mathematically impossible for him to win the nomination...  (Vote Huckabee, all you GOP voters in Virginia, Maryland, and DC!  http://www.mikehuckabee.com/?FuseAction=Home.Home)

And of course CuriousLord can still complain about the outcome if he wants to.  He has the freedom to not vote.  If one thinks both possible outcomes suck, then they can most certainly still complain. :-)

I know I complain every time I see Obama or Clinton win an election.  Though, if I was forced at gunpoint to choose, I'd choose Obama.  If I was forced to choose for the good of the GOP, I'd choose Clinton.

Still, the good of my Country outweights the good of my Party, so I'd choose Obama over Clinton any day.

Regardless, for those of us who are watching politics very closely...  Take a deep breath when you can.  Don't go crazy.  Don't yell at your friends for their differing stances.  In the grand scheme of things, they'll be there for you more often and a lot longer than any politician.

When I was married 8 years ago, my ex voted for Bush.
Believe it or not, that is NOT why we are divorced.

I don't care who people vote for, just vote!

Voting for Obama tomorrow in MD. My wife went to his rally in downtown Balto. and said he was electrifying.

MD, DC, AND VA should give him three more victories to help take the lead over Hillary.

CA already had our Primary.  Hillary took it for the Dems, but I haven't heard the delegate tally.  I'm sure the state will go to the Dem nominee in November.

if Hillary wins even one state tomorrow, I'll actually blow my husband until he cums.  So you know I'm pretty damn sure that Obama is going to win.

I would LOVE to see that cloudboy, but I think of all the counties in Maryland and I don't see it.
I see Obama getting the votes in the urban areas, but not in the rural counties.

Maryland and Virginia are huge states.
We shall see!

The couple of hours extra of doing homework and putting facetime in with professors will do more for my future than a vote, even if that vote did happen to be the deciding factor in an election (as I would like to point out is extremely unlikely).

Voting's a great right, but there's more to life.

Interesting website here: http://www.nationalpopularvote.com/pages/about.php I'd love to see our fucked up system changed and simplified.

It looks like Obama will do well today:

quote:

With the Clinton campaign all but conceding losses Tuesday, as well as in other primaries during the month, the New York senator prepared to fly to Texas, which holds its primary on March 4. She is banking on strong showings there and in Ohio, which votes the same day, to blunt Obama's momentum.

scifi1133 -> RE: Maryland, DC, Virginia primaries tomorrow (2/12/2008 2:19:30 AM)

As  a moderate I can say that if Hillary wins the nomination I will not be voting for her. And I agree there are many republicans that hope Hillary wins the nomination. It makes the election almost a dead lock for them. She frankly scares to many people. Even people who do not normally vote would vote for the republican party just so she didnt win.
Obama scares them because there are alot of moderate republicans that really like Obama, and are nervous about McCain and Huckabee(who frankly scares anyone not in the christian right).
It is entirely possible that a good portion of moderates would swing Obamas way in the main election.

Level -> RE: Maryland, DC, Virginia primaries tomorrow (2/12/2008 2:24:56 AM)

Scifi, I plan on voting for Obama here; if Hillary gets the nod, I don't know what I'll do. [:)]
