Yeah, he was one of the greats.  I loved him in the French Connection and the 1st 2 Jaws movies.  He'll be missed.

I think we do, Panthersmom. James Wood is still alive and kicking (Salvador - Onion Field - Bestseller). Then there's Hillary Swank who, in my opinion, is a phenomenal actress.

How strange. I just wrote some of the song from Jaws yesterday in the Remember When thread.

For you Roy...

Show me the way to go home
I'm tired and I want to go to bed
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it went right to my head
Where ever I may roam
On land or sea or foam
You will always hear me singing this song
Show me the way to go home
Indicate the way to my abode
I'm fatigued and I want to retire
I had a spot of beverage sixty minutes ago
And it went right to my cerebellum
Where ever I may perambulate
On land, or sea or atmospheric vapor
You can always hear me crooning the melody
Indicate the way to my abode

You were a great actor. You will be missed here by so many.

He was an all around great guy and extremely down to earth. I knew him and his family - taught his daughter for 2 years. He struggled with cancer for more than 5 years.

I am sorry for your loss. The world shares your tears, but I suppose that when it is a personal family friend, it is so much more painfull.

Hugs,

MoGa
