Hugs are right up there with chocolate - I just can't get enough. I hug friends, family, my cats... I have a bad feeling I'll end up with a non huggy person and want to die. :( Hugs are very important to me. A goodnight hug makes me sleep well. Comforting hugs make me feel happier, faster.

Hugs are just great all around. No matter the context.

I love hugs! I grew up in a family that wasn't very touchy-feely and by the time I was in high school I was aware of craving physical contact with other humans. Having a friend casually brush up against me made me crave more contact. (I was really shy though and didn't get much physical contact.) I make sure I get lots of hugs out of my lovers and friends, or even acquaintances. I'm more likely to hug than not hug, even if I don't know the person too well.

Reading this thread got me thinking - cuddles are pretty much extended hugs. And I LOVE cuddling!
