I had a traditional 7 days long Moroccan wedding, in Morocco and would not have changed a moment of it for the world.

The wedding was in an orthodox church and the service was in arabic with chanters and english translation lasting about 1 3/4 hours.  Two guests passed out from the intoxicating combination of incense and sweltering heat.

The reception:  I invited a lot of liquor (add to that about 400 guests).  We had the obligatory evil bridesmaids dresses, the embarassing relatives, the errant child who dragged his fingers thru the icing on the cake, and the prize-winning watermelon from the Lucas County Fair.  All the ingredients for a great party.

Hopefully the next time it will be without circumstance---maybe a trip to the courthouse or something similar.

Lots of folks have two weddings for various reasons.  I suppose a 'fetish' wedding could be as interesting as any other with a theme.

Congratulations, btw.

What type of wedding did you have?
I am thinking  of  having a vanilla wedding and a hot kinky wedding.

Your thoughts on the subject.

I was married, it was a small affair just with family and close friends. It being a registry office, we made an effort and dressed in rennaisance  gothic attire, myself in red and black velvet and my wife to be in a dress I had made in Glastonbury, a dark green medieval velvet dress and black cloak. All to the music of Enigma M.C.M.X.C.AD.

Well, she got me to get married, so if I was going to do it, I was going to do it my way.

My girlfriend is very religious so when we get married we're going to have as proper a wedding as possible, given that there are going to be two brides.

my kid brother and his wife had a halloween wedding and we all had a blast.  they allowed kids to come in costume, adults were wandering around in various stages of costume, it was alot of fun!  even my stodgy aunt was walking around in an alien mask.

My last one is my"LAST" one,WE jumped on my bike went cruising Thur the smokies, After thinking about it for a short while we decided this was the time..Stopped in a small town looking for a preacher..Some one informed us that the local barber was one of those 'fellows' smile..So in two hours with license, with his customers as witness we had it done..My first one was the whole nine yards, a cruise  etc...

I was married once, in a big ceremony with all the trimmings--I even wore tails on my tuxedo. The divorce, however, was quiet, private, far less stressful.

Congrats! Pain and I got married in a rose garden and I was ushered ( along with the bridal party to ) and from ( with Pain ) the ceremony in a Cinderella carriage complete with white horses, through the streets of the city. Considering all the permits they had to get for special routing I got a kick out of the driver telling us that he would be more than happy to supply us with black horses for our divorce procession.
Greedy ~ The Haunted House I used to work for does weddings. Maybe one of your local ones will to. Never hurts to ask.

We got married at a speedway track   He wore a black race suit and a top hat.  I wore a grey and white race suit and a veil.  I wore my collar under the suit.  We had a barbeque in the pits after the race meeting.  Different, inexpensive and fun!

IF I ever get married I want to elope to Las Vegas...unless He wants something more traditional. I wouldn't mind being handfasted. The idea of having our hands tied together makes me smile

I've been married, but never had a wedding. We eloped, and were married by a justice of the peace in New Orleans city park on Valentine's Day.

It may sound romantic, but I was happier the day the divorce papers were final last year than I was on the day I got married.

Vanilla wedding for the parents and friends that don't share this interest. Hot kinky reception/after party where you exchange "different" vows.

Ultra tight corset under the wedding dress? So many possibilities.....

Agreed.

Sir and I are planning on just going to the judge's office to sign the form and inviting our respective parents to witness. Announcments will go out to family, but no ceremony, or reception. Potentially a movie night, get drunk, etc with friends, then off to the honeymoon.

Although I have to admit, I was surprised to see how many here are against marriage. I assume too much, it seems.

We had a very self-designed, vanilla wedding. We'd planned to have a second wedding more designed for our specific, ah, eccentricites, but never got organised enough. Good lukc yo you though, it's a fine idea.
