who here blogs? do you use your cm blog or do you blog somewhere else? what do you blog about? how often do you blog? why do you blog?

i love blogging (as it says on my profile), but i am so lazy. i have a blogger blog tied to my website that i use for personal/creativity/opinion stuff, and i write on a collaborative eating disorder news blog, but i have been neglecting both of those lately (partly because i'm stressed from school and work). how do you stay motivated? it is so hard for me to sit down and write a blog when i feel this drained (although not quite as taxing to spend four hours doing virtually nothing elsewhere online).

i'd love to start doing a bdsm blog, even if it's just posting here on my journal (which i never use), but now that i'm starting to be a bit more open about who i am and tying my bdsm community identity to my public identity elsewhere i'm kind of worried about what i would write about that basically wouldn't cause problems. i've found a middle ground with my profile, pictures (well, as soon as the all powerful picture approvers approve them), etc. but i'm not sure i'm there yet with something that actually requires, y'know, regular information about all that kinky shit we do. does anyone here blog about bdsm? do you do it anonymously or publicly?

just curious to see what everyone else is up to :)

respectfully,
annabelle.

I have an "every day life" type blog that my family and friends back in the States can read to keep up on life here. I have one that I use to post poetry and short stories . . . I use my one here for mini rants and pointless posts.

This is Darcy

I have a blog that I update every couple of days. The content varies wildly, from personal thoughts to writing about things that have grabbed my attention, or which amuse or annoy me.

The idea behind it is to produce the equivalent of a newspaper column that is entertaining enough to bring a ray of sunshine into the lives of whoever reads it for a few minutes.

I won't post the URL here, but if anyone is interested in the workings of my mind then PM me and I'll happily let you into the asylum

I really enjoy reading people's blogs, I initially go to the profile of people that catch my eye and the moment I see they have a journal I ensconce myself in that. I tend not to read fictional novels, although make an exception for Dan Brown/Steve Berry, and I gain so much insight into the world of other people I know I am not likely to ever meet.

As for my own, b/c I use CM and IC I tend to copy the same entries for each and I'm long overdue an update! It's great when I have people write to me who have read my blog and say, "Wow, never considered something like that before. I love reading your journal!"

i have two actually outside of the journal here. i have one that tends to stay relatively vanilla, and i have one that i get a lot more kinky related in.

I have two blogs that I update regularly.  I blog on all typs of things, from everyday to kink.  Naturally they are linked to Darcys'.  I do blog about BDSM and have always gained positive feedback.  My blogs aren't anonymous and I am identified as who I am, but then Darcy and I aren't 'in the closet'.

I use livejournal.  I usually set it to privacy as it's more a place for me to process/rant than anything for others to read.  I'm hit or miss with it, maybe once a week.

I was "turned on" to blogging a few months by my then mentor, and it's just been amazing how well it works for me, helping me to work through things, as I'm relatively new to submission. I don't have a set requirement for blogging, like once a day, etc. I blog when thoughts come to me, or when I have time to sit down with an issue and really address it. I always have 4-6 entries on my "to be written" list at any given time. I may go days without blogging, then do 4 or 5. On one phenomenal day, I had 7 blog entries... and mine do not tend to be brief, LOL! I do my blogging here and on livejournal, which I love... they are the same, I write each entry on LJ and then copy and paste it here. My LJ is at cat4one4ever.livejournal.com

Katy,  actually have a separate LJ account that is set for only myself to ever view, where I put rants, name names, etc. That way I don't have to worry about whether I remembered to mark something as Private in my main journal :)

I don't blog as such (though I probably should for various reasons). But every week (except last week, when I forgot) I post a poem for every day of that week to my MySpace blog. It's not hard - I have all 366 poems for this year already written, and a few into 2009. I can't help it - I'm a versifying fool.

>>edited to add: I'm going to look into livejournal. Sounds like a good idea<<

I enjoy blogging too, but haven't done so lately. Been either too busy or more recently too sick to put things into words the way I want to say them. I've got blogs on myspace, 360, multiply, and livejournal. My LJ is the one where I write about bdsm things. The others are mainly everyday stuff or venting on things.

ETA: I also blogged on my other profile here and will on this one as well soon.

I keep two blogs. One that my friends can see, and I rarely ever use. Another that keeps track of all the fun kinkiness in my life right now, that one I update a few times a week. I keep track of what I'm doing, what I'm feeling, questions or such that come into my head. That one can only be viewed by online kinky folk who are my livejournal friends. Keeping it helps me not be crazy, and sort out my own thoughts.
