Reuters - Millions remained stranded in China on Monday ahead of the biggest holiday of the year as parts of the country suffered their coldest winter in a century.

Caused by Global Warming, undoubtedly!

LMAO, thats exactly what I was going to say!

I cant help but think about dirty al's chart where it showed the carbon going exponentialy up and the temperature coming down and he telling everyong how it will continue to rise!  But then the gov and politicians do that all the time because americans have eyes and cannot see, ears and cannot hear and finally brains but cannot reason.

I thought this post was ironic, considering the article this morning in the Toledo Blade about the mild winters (and ensuing lack of ice) contributing to the lowering of the Great Lakes.

Global warming folks are generally the first to tell you that a side effect is greater extremes in the weather, not uniformly warmer weather in every single location on earth.

I am not an alarmist on man caused catastrophic Global Warming.  But the climate has absolutly been getting warmer (and Glaciers shrinking) for over 10,000 years.  And we had better plan smart for it.  Plenty of other civilisations were ended by shifitng climate in the past.  A cold winter does not really mean anything climate wise.  An analogy is over the one year waarming and colling earth experiences every year--- A cool day in May does not mean it is not getting warmer, nor does a warm day in fall mean it is not getting colder.

This should not be construed as a desire to pollute more.

Ah,but some dolt will chime it and say we can`t use corn(or switch grass or hemp) as fuel, cuz poor people will starve.lol Drill more oil or make more nuclear waste,is the republican answer to our problems.

Oh well, there`s po`folk out there, guess we can`t do anything to address climate change or energy independence.

What a convenient lie for anti-environment types to  hide behind ,pretending to care about the world`s hungry in order to maintain the status quot.

Next we`ll have some dolt claiming that climate change doesn`t exist, cuz it snowed in Baghdad.

Wait! Doesn`t snow in Baghdad point to climate change?

Oh well, let`s not let words, terms and definitions get in the way of a good discussion.

It will get a bloodie sight colder if mindless idealistic Liberals gum up the works.

Climate appears to be changing, no doubt about that.
Whats the cause, thats what needs to be explained. Hair shirted attitudes like I hate the West 'cos people are starving in Africa so lets bring industry to its knees,  simply wont do.
By the way the deprivation in Africa is mostly due to the corrupt/despotic governments that exist there.

I have two tickets for a nice weekend in Kenya, any offers ?
I dont think the hotel has been burned down....yet.

Sanity:
As usual you are in the forefront of informed commentary.
The China Meteorological Administration said the weather was the coldest in 100 years in central Hubei and Hunan provinces, going by the total number of consecutive days of average temperature less than 1 degree Celsius (33.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
Dang I didn't know it was possible to live at 33.8f...I mean that is almost cold enough to freeze water.

See, that right there is why I usually ignore your posts, thompson. This is a great example. You just tried to slam me for what Reuters is putting out, and therefore your swipe at me makes absolutely no sense.

Why would I even try to discuss issues with you when I find you constantly resorting to attacks such as this which aren't even remotely logical.

Seeks:
Are those tickets first cabin or coach?  Round trip or one way?  Any date restrictions?  What is the departure city?
I was planning a trip to Amsterdam for the High Times "Bud Fest".  I always wanted to visit Africa.  This could work for me.
What do you want for them?

Global Warming caused by Green House Gases and Pollution is irrelivant. We just have to make China believe it.

If China can be convinced that their current methods of waste and pollution is the cause of there climate and environmental changes, then we may have a chance to see new laws made. These new laws made in China will impact current outsourcing methods.

With any luck we could make a stop in Mali and see the library in Timbuktu.  Can you get time off from work?

I never had sex with a gila monster before...I did a porcupine once though.
A lot will depend on how much seeks wants for the tickets and what restrictions apply... they may not allow "mixed couples"  you know a jesus junquie and an atheist.
