I really dislike being called girl/slut/whore/slave/tart/baby/subbie etc etc by people who dont know me ... and have recently put a note explaining this on my journal so that people contacting me know the reply will not be polite if it starts with "hey slut" ... my name is there for people to use ... it doesn't bite .. so use it ...

I express my preference .. it is then for them to decide whether to go along with it or not ... if they continue to use those "petnames" without my permission  thn i have to decied whether it is something I can put up with or not.

I say "hey babee" to quite a few girls in my life.  Sometimes because I can't remember thier name.

How difficult can it be to remember a (user)name that is right there on the screen?

I was refering to real life situations

Is this just a girl thing?  I haven't gotten any negative feedback when I call a guy Stud/Handsome/Babycakes/whatever.  Well, okay, I would think I would get an earful if I said "Hi Whatever".

More important than this is what he's not saying which is that he isn't interested in a friends only occasional email relationship. He wants to get his paws on you. It's legal for him to be interested. It's equally legal for you to consider him a total jerk.

I suggest breaking off correspondence immediately because your continued relationship is sending him mixed messages. He's hearing no but seeing yes.

Many thanks for posting this; i wondered if my partner and i were the only people with this opinion. i have broken off contact, as my partner did make that direct request a couple days ago.
