Hello. I bumped into contact info to contact my 2 best friends from High School.

Have any of you done this? What was the outcome?

Anyhow I was nervous as heck when I placed the calls. Finally 1 busy and 1 no answer.

maybe I dont want to do this.

Both ended the friendship.

1 wrote me a letter that he could not continue being friends since I decided to be gay. Maybe I was too moody... for a few years that letter hurt. Tho I least he told me where he stood.

The other -well- got an attitude when I left from the private school. He sought fame and fortune- still owing me $60.

In a way- I dont want to be the trainwreck for them to see. On the other hand I think I did quite well. Im content with my place in this world.

Maybe the past is best let -in the past. After all- I am not a nervous teen any longer. I shed that skin and become a kind middleaged gentleman.

What say you?

The other thing is- if I did make conact- Ild want equal or then some info- but out of awkwardess- Ild probaly talk too much. That would highlight my life as a trainwreck.

I say, many people have freinds, that are freinds just becasue we have known them so long.. I wouldn;t worry about it.If you are happy, it is their deal, not yours

i've moved 11 times out of my whole life so i haven't made a lot of long standing friends, but one day i was on facebook and i decided for kicks to look up random people i used to know but i knew wouldn't remember me. i found my two best friends from Ohio and i messaged them, we've chatted a bit and played catch up but it's never the same as the original spark that got you together...

It's not the same but it's the only time i have actually contacted anyone from my past moves...But i think it's a shame that your friends did that. If they call back then it's good to see they matured, if not...then i guess we know what they value more.

well my feeling is people come and go for a reason but giving them a call can't really hurt. what are they going to do? hang up? but this is coming from a person terrified of any phone call so take it with a grain of salt. but best wishes with whatever you decide.

I sent a letter to a hang out buddy from the grade school. It was ignored. So whatever on that.

I got this peeping tom feeling -seeing the life [internet search] on the mom of one, the sister of the other. It was surreal.

Oh- I wasnt able to leave a message. I use a phone card to call long distance.

I dont know how many times I moved. I stopped counting after 25.[times]

the past should be left in the past. you should live in the NOW.

the majority of the first 16 yrs of my life was spent in hospital trying to stay alive. i have little memory of those years. only thing i can remember are dramatic events like lying in hospital (after open heart surgery that got infected AGAIN) bed with my chest wide open healing on its own with a large (really large) bandage/gause that got changed 3 times daily. it is probably the reason i am a masochist.

i live in the now.

I can only see myself doing this sort of thing if I had a need for reconciliation; only, I believe if the problem stemmed from something they did or said; the reconciliation needs to take place within me.

the past is a great place for the past. i dont wish to return. im not too --hmm madish - as people move on all the time.

this leads to another question. im doing the history of my house.. i might have found the conatc info to prior owners. im thinking of calling.

??

they might not want such a call. i dont think i would.

My advice is: don't get a Facebook type account because them damn friends will track you down and drag you back to yesteryear. Why on earth do they allow people to do this I dunno.

Old friends would be hard pressed to locate me- tho they would- look in PA

People change so much that instead of rekindleing a friendship, you have restart from scratch as two different people meeting for the first time.

Don't sweat it. If you're curious as to what has become of them, then find out.

Oddly, I now find myself being friends with old class mates that I never talked to when in school. They never talked to me much either. It just turned out that we got along after bumping into each other.

There's a small crew of us that get together every year and share the stories. We all wish we could get together more, but we're all cool anyway. We've all known each other since age 5 or thereabouts, and if we somehow chanced to live on the same street, it would be as if we were not ever apart.

There are some relationships that I started and ended as an adult that ended, not for bad reasons, that I would like to rekindle. I stop myself, though, because I have to wonder what my motivation is for wanting that person back in my life again.

Rule one of meeting old friends is to hire a sports car and pretend you are doing really well for yourself after your shares portfolio went through the roof. Remember you invested in apple computers when they still thought mice should have one button and an Ipod was somewhere for people to store false eyes in.

This would be a deterring factor for me, I would stick with other means of finding out it’s history.

Then again, while I wouldn't wish to intrude on someone else, I don't think it would bother me for someone to approach me for information. I guess it depends on what they wanted to know.

dreadfull that our yaught is too big for west palm beach, so we end up in Miami..that is... when we are in the states.

lol facebook...i dont think i ever stayed in school long enough or was ever there on picture day... omg.... i was also expelled from 2 schools....for wearing the wrong uniform's... LOL... those crazy catholic schools...i went to loyola...my god the rules there...so strict...and they forced you to sing in choir or you would get detention or even suspended!!!!! TORTURE!!

is it no wonder i didnt go to school???

I still see and talk to alot of my old friends from high school. We dont see each other as often as we used to, but any time one of us has ashow or something, we all turn out. Its the music man, it keeps us together.

yes well back in the 80's i was a simple trans...didnt know i was born intersexed...so i was a boy in female uniform... although you couldnt tell i was a boy. but i was ratted out to the principal at both schools. expelled immediately because back in the 80's everyone hated trans or gay people! needless to say i was beat up quite often.
