Frankly- Im sick of the immigration debate. those folks are here= possession is 9/10 of the law.

the old birthrate is dismal- the bubble of boomers are getting old- very old-

jobs go to CAFTA or China/India. so maybe it is better to have om in north America.

nothing is going to improve policy wise- i listed 10 issues that are soundbited out. most dont have the stomche for it.

its all smoke and mirrors.

what is it about? putting food on teh table. we once were a tribe- but that has morphed into a mutinaional corporate institution whose existensce is more protected the teh institution of marriage or family or education.
- as far as people in my town who cant speak English-- Ild be willing to teach them on my time....

KD, then there's the US Code, Title 8 Chapter 12 which makes it a Federal Felony to hire illegals. (The Feds don't have misdemeanors)
It's a criminal offense not a civil offense.
They can spend time in Federal Prison.
If they come out a convicted federal felon, they can't own firearms, can't vote, can't be bonded or hold business licenses and a federal case like that costs a lot of money.
All the money they "saved" by hiring illegals they'll need for lawyers.

I've seen people on welfare say they won't take the low-paying jobs because (1) welfare give them more than they could make, and (2) they're "too good" to flip burgers. Perhaps if the welfare agencies insisted that these people get whatever job is available and reduced their welfare payments by the amount they'd earn - whether they took the job or not - they might find it within themselves to flip burgers. Yes, they might be subsidized by welfare, but each American who takes a job is taking that job away from illegals, and the savings to welfare might help our economy as well.

I'm not an economit, but it's a thought.

Owner, do you think that George "Herbert Hoover" Bush means any of that?
I don't see too many Republicans comming to his defense, probably because he's not a Republican.
With 356 days to go he's a little LATE for that kind of shit, isn't he?
And he keeps saying that , "they're just doing the jobs Americans don't want to do."
Only he neglects to mention that those jobs are now down to $8 an hour.
I'd do the job but not for $8 an hour.
These days $15 an hour is subsistance level.
Owner, something tells me that George "Herbert Hoover" Bush doesn't care too much about people who make $15 an hour.
Am I wrong?
