if any computer pple who can tell is possible for a software to crash a computer and how i can get rid of it?

Yep, its possible. It can cause conflicts with other programs, cause hanging issues
What is the software? what happens?
Have you tried the "Add/Remove hardware" program in control panel?
Do you have a restore point set up?
You can get cleaners and registry editors, but try the add/remove hardware prog first.

it kodak easy share photo system. it crash my comupter the blue screen comes up the only way to fix that is restore it. which i did yesterday twice. now i'm not going put in. which suck i can't have my personal pic on my computer. is a way i can put it on without the blue screen coming up i have webroot for a anti virus software.

It sounds like this is the issue:

1) You installed Easy Share. Presumably off a CD included with your camera.
2) When you connect your camera to your computer to download your pictures you get a blue screen with some sort of error message and are forced to reboot.

To really help I need some other info.
1) Can you start Easy Share without having the camera plugged in. Does this cause a crash?
2) How old is the camera? the computer?
3) What version of Windows do you have installed?
4) Are you using the Easy Share program with a Kodak camera?
5) Have you read and followed the instruction provided with the camera for how to connect the camera to a computer?

I would call Kodak's 800 number---they probably are familiar with the problem and may have a fix or new download for you.

I've never had a Kodak digital camera. Although I have had a few other types of cameras. Cameras are basically plug and play which means if you attach your camera to the computer. Regardless of software the computer is going to recognize it.
You can download your photo's to the pc without the Kodak software.
I imagine the software is there just to make it even easier to do so? It may have editing properties in it? You can get another photo editor.
If Kodak has no fix..never fear you can still get your photo's on the computer.

I manage my photos using Google's picasa. They even tie in directly to an online photo album.

There is software built into the camera. Plugging the camera into the computer should enable basic stuff like downloading the images. Read and follow the directions included with the camera.

Honestly, it depends on how old the camera is.

Newer cameras usually work just like pen drives. You take the picture, and it stores that picture in the memory. You then plug the camera in, and windows will recognize the camera as if it wre a hard drive. Often the folders have cryptic names (My camera stores photos in a folder called F:\DCIM\101NIKON and gives filenames like DSCN2786.jpg.) Once you figure out where those files are being stored, all you have to do is copy them to your hard drive just like if you were to copy from a CD or floppy disk.

sure you can :)

Just restore your computer and plug in th4e camera and it will find it and see it as another hard drive. Just drag it and drop it into a new directory in win explorer then view with whatever sofrware you want to view it with.

I dont use that kodak shit either :)

Rule number one, if it runs it runs, put the disk away.

To a point, they have standardized it, even if the camera came out later than your particukar version of XP, it is likely to run just fine.

Rule number two : never do anything unless you have to.

If that camera does not work without proprietary software, throw it out and buy another one. More later, but if it doesn't run in XP raw, I don't think I want it.

windows me....just sucked

windows xp...stable in my experience anyway....

windows vista...worse than windows me!

windows 2000...never used it...its not meant for home use.

Win 2k is fine as a home box. I kept it as my home box's OS until XP sp2 came out and the kinks got worked out.

Vista on brand new hardware isn't bad but upgrading to it is a nightmare.

Win2K is why XP doesn't suck. They had gotten NT *almost right* with 2k.
