i didn't know you were expecting all of us to have professionally done head shots for our profiles.  i would rather have someone see me in my au natural self than dolled up like Tyra Banks photo shoot.

My profile pic is sort of professional, but is as I normally look - no makeup, etc. I get compliments on my pic, but I think it's my second pic that they're talking about, for the most part.

my profile pics are me on any given day....of course i'm not going to put up a photo of me just out of bed in the morning...although that would probably be nice for a very good laugh!

Yes, I do it in part to get rid of those who would contact me just because of how I look. But, I also do it to represent myself in an honest way. Ok, so I don't were BDUs all the time...I'm not military...but I don't look outrageous, have a military fetish and think the sign in the picture says it all..."Army of me."

I don't know about the photo thingie; I put the one I thought repped my spirit first and then the others were in no particular order. I certainly would not put up a photo of me I did not LIKE, duh.

I like the natural non posed ones too, if you look at my picture my face is red cause it was a hot day but I have a huge grin on my face, and you know what I look like in everyday normal situations, not what could be if I dolled up a bit. And I like that cause I am mostly an au natural girl, no makeup, no hairgells I just put my hair up in a ponytail, no perfumes or jewelerys. Dolling up is for an extra special ocasions, and not the norm. I don't want to present an unrealistic imagae you won't hardly see. I want to present me, everyday me.

I actually like to see the first pic on a profile as a natural one.  It shows the real person.

Just for clarification, the tasteful fetish shots and the exposure shots are fun to look at but not something I look for.  None of the posters on here would actually fall in the category of what I am discussing and my favorite shots are the playful, fun loving ones.  For example, I adore Sweetwenchie's and Christine1's along with several other on this thread.

I sent an example to one of the gals who posted here and her response was "Oh...now I see what you mean."   I don't want to post a name or link as I think that would be quite rude and I don't wish to be inconsiderate of the individuals who I am referring to.

I think part of it is that each person sees themselves in the mirror in all sorts of conditions and wardrobe malfunctions and blaring nudity.  The persons posting said photos may very well not have the same "shock" factor or even the dim realization that one photo looks better than the rest.
