I went to school during the civil rights movement. This is when most all males carried knives to school. I saw a lot of bloody fights that were needless, and uncalled for.
You may know, I would applaud the school district for taking action against this kid.
Some people think their children are above the law and do not teach them right from wrong.
If you cannot keep your kids under control, don't have them.

It's a dangerous world.

When you deprive a child of a weapon, you ENABLE child predators.

An *ARMED* child is a *SAFE* child. No-one will abduct a little girl if they know she'll cut their heart out.

Hmmm...maybe if we kept our knives in condoms, we could carry them in schools?

I remember carrying my scout knife in school and no one was ever injured. Well, I *did* get attacked once...by someone with a golf club in PE (Physical Ed.), but never with a knife.

I did put the jerk on the ground and hold him there until the coach showed up. But I never did reach into my pocket for that knife.

Of course, in those days, we just got into "fights" that ended up with bumps, bruises and some bloody noses.

Thank goodness they've kept that school safe from multi-tools! Now all they have to worry about are the teen shooters equipped with Mac 10s, pipe bombs, Glocks. hunting rifles... Not to mention the kind of arsenal most kids will find in shop class....

Zero tolerance policies are the most bone headed reactions to school violence I've ever heard of.

I went to school in Kentucky and when hunting season came around the parking lots looked like a NRA meeting, both the students and the teachers. In shop class we even made really large knives because we thought they were cool to make (and a easy A). Now during my 4 years at high school the only thing that happened was a really large kid that was blocking the stairs to the smoking area because he thought it was funny got stabbed in the ass, it required a band aid. Now with all these weapons around my school you may wonder why it didn't look like the OK corral. Well its simple we were taught at home to respect tools such as fire arms and knives also we all knew that to do something stupid like that would mean getting our ass kicked repeatedly, yes folks back when i was in school they beat us with boards that were called paddles AND IT WORKED then when you got home you were beaten again. Now to add to this if there was a fight and anyone so much as reached into their pocket the other people around them would jump in on them and hold them. Cheating wasn't allowed. Now how would everyone reacted if a person had tried to pull a gun i don't know because no one ever did but one kid pulled a knife and got his ass beat for it. bottom line we were taught at home.
