Thousands of Iraqi translators have assisted U.S. forces since the invasion of Iraq in 2003, risking their lives and leaving their families vulnerable to retaliation from insurgents who see them as accomplices of American troops.

More than 250 of the interpreters working with the United States -- or with U.S. contractors -- have been killed. But the U.S. asylum program for translators seeking to leave the country has fallen far short of demand and, at times, short of what other coalition countries have offered their Iraqi staff.

When the British left, they took all their Iraqi translators and their families with them.

I hope we do as much.

Let me tell you about the witness protection prograsm, it does not work. It does not work because they do not want it to work.

Even statistics should bear me out on this one.

The logistics of it are simple, you never trust a traitor. I apply that in my own life and have noticed the lack of prison walls around me. You never trust a traitor. That does not mean you do not deal with them, comduct business either above board or otherwise, but if a traitor, they are not to be trusted.

And again and again I have spoke in favor of the Iraqis, condemning a bunch of this government's actions. That is true. We are in the wrong, they do not see it that way. That means we are going to stay in the wrong. I have no hate for anyone, but the fact of the matter is if an Iraqi or an Iranian came up to me right now and said they want to convert or whatever, to switch sides, I would never trust them. Ever.

Let me tell you, if your bitterest most hated emeny sold out and came to be your ally, would you ever trust ? I say no. I know this, you must not trust someone who has turned, so to speak, because there is no reason to believe that they will not turn on you.

And realize if you ever become a turncoat, you will never be trusted again. By either side. If I were an Iraqi I would be dead by now, certainly. Or, which illustrates the point better...

OK you have invaded my country, bombed the schools and hospitals, sometimes with MY KIDS in them. You did not care. We are subhuman to you, having a double digit or better IQ I can see that. I can see what you are. Thank you for the freedom and democracy (lol) and look over to the left, SO I CAN SHOVE THIS KNIFE IN YOUR BACK.

And I do not blame them one fucking bit. If someone were to take over this country and we really did lose, there is no way out, what is the next step ? Infiltration. If the time came I would do it in a heartbeat, and friends, one day you may know me, and when you do you will know that I would succeed.

Any traitors to my enemies would be suspect at all times.

Does anyone have any logic to refute that ?

I will be patient.
