ORIGINAL: lockmeupplease OK---so you like Hilary and in these clips Matthews appears not to. In all fairness, after Tuesday's Nevada debate he was effusive in his praise of her performance. Though he can be a little off the wall, at least he makes people think and takes responsibilities for his words (as opposed to O'Reilly and Limbagh who blame everyone else when they screw up). Though a liberal,I have no allegiance to any one candidate, right now. We`ve "rigged" this years election,so that there`s no bad choice. My point is how shallow he is. He`s quite typical of what the mainstream media`s putting out.Nothing deeper than the conventional wisdom and the lowest common denominators, like scandal, sexy stories and tabloid journalism, along w/ what he said about Hillary. Owner, nothing wrong with being liberal. But if Democrats want to win elections they need to understand that most people in the country think of themselves as "moderates." For whatever reason Democrats have embraced many policies of the "left" and "far left." The further you go to either side of the pendulum the less people there are who share your ideas. It's one thing to win "The Coasts" but you need to win "Flyover land" too as they call it in Hollywood. All true,Popeye. The Democrats are the moderate party. Since Bush and the far right neo-cons have taken power, the Democratic Party is now the left, middle, and right.B/c so many long time republicans don`t recognize their old party anymore. Hillary, just like Bill, will get a lot of moderate republican votes, and well as the undecideds. She did that in NY state. Obama also has that kind of support as well, even though we know what`s going to be said about him,if he were to win the primary. As an aside, this "both parties do it" crap,is bullshit. There is no one like Karl Rove,or anyone like him, employed, payed by or otherwise,by democrats. Anyone who believes that democrats are as bad as republicans, is an easy date and naive,or is a republican. Owner, you're partially correct there but your assumption that Bush is a "Republican" is incorrect, he's not. He's simply a *mouthpiece for big business* and their "free trade-outsourcing" programs.
