SAN DIEGO - Rock 'n' roll pioneer Ike Turner's death last month at age 76 was caused by a cocaine overdose, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's office said Wednesday. "We are listing that he abused cocaine, and that's what resulted in the cocaine toxicity," said Paul Parker, chief investigator at the medical examiner's office. ('cause I didn't assume this...I assumed it was a natural death based on clean living).

it wasn't an overdose; it was the fact that all the drugs he'd done all his life finally wore off! he would have been dead a long time ago but the body was so wired it couldn't stop. the only reason they found coke was that he hadn't burned thru all of that yet, just everything else! PM
