I fell into BDSM about 5 years ago for various reasons, and would never intimate that I was Old Guard or had gone that route. I have, however, read and discussed it with many people and see the value in the approach. But it is like (my opinion here) anything else, no approach is perfect because it is applied to human beings who comprehend and practice varying levels of it. To say that person A is better trained than person B because of [blah] is simply the circumstantial logical fallacy at work.

All professional hockey players are male. Danielle Dube (F) was the goalie of the Long Beach Ice Dogs professional hockey team in 2003, therefore Danielle Dube is male. The logic is flawed.

And having said that, the martial art I have studied the longest involved use of pressure points for inflicting rather grievous pain. Gave a seminar at a play party on how to use them for fun and perversion.

Again... everyone has protocols. Master has HIS and since that does not fit your way of thinking you make the decision to not read or whatever.

It's like the saying "It's your loss", who knows what you might be missing.

Have a good day.

Sighs, I try not to nit pick over grammar, but get to the gist of what is being expressed.

So I am going to ignore the "editing fetish" parts of this, and just address the origional poster.

I feel that focusing on such things only demeans the one doing it. It always comes across to me as petty ,and small minded. Not to mention a bit obsessive. That having been said........

Welcome to the boards,Draxxe!

Yes, I do see many "masters" with attitude and ego problems, and perhaps if they had begun on the bottom thier ego control would have been more realistic and controlled. And do we not value a Master's ability to excercise self control?

But not everyone can do it the og way, or sees a need to. For myself, I tried subbing breifly about ten years ago. I simply couldn't deal with it, it pissed me off no end. It went totally against the grain of my core instincts.

Yet it was still a valuable learning experience about how subs can feel, and what strength it takes to go there. One I will not forget.

Pardoxically it made my views on submission both more compassionate, and in some ways harsher and more strict. I listen to concerns, and don't take needs for granted.

But I also don't tolerate a lot of excuses for screwing up,and the buck stays stuck.. NO ONE gets to pass it under my roof-me included.
