Status: offline 		well i wasnt on yesterday but here it is today, right under "whos viewing me"
i clicked it and guess what? 40 people have added me to their favorites list!
i dont know if i should be flattered or freaked, because i only know four people
there that i have ever had any contact with.
wouldnt it be better to have some sort of "ASK PERMISSION" button?
can i add you to my favorites list?
i really dont want to be on just any ol' bodys list. none of them have even said

is there a way to remove myself?

Status: offline 		Yes and hard to miss since it is listed in bright red.  Speaking for just myself, it sorta creeps me out that someone will add me to their "Admire List", but not send an email.  Also, since i have never used that particular feature, what does it mean to be on 'the' list?  Does it mean the person who has added me sees every time i log in or something?  ewww (ok i am freaking myself out).

Status: offline 		You are able to remove yourself from their lists. Click on their name and when their profile pops up hide yourself from that user. They wont ever see you online anymore :)  Thats basicaly all the Admirer tab is for so they can see the last time you were on.

Status: offline 		The admirers list has been there forever, it was just down on the bottom with the favorites, new and blocked user buttons, etc.  Red means there is someone new since the last time you looked.  Don't get creeped, it was just on the bottom and you didn't know to look.  There are some that mark people as favorites because they like to check out pics if they change on a regular basis, or someone likes to look at the profile or journal every once in a while, and this way doesn't have to search for the user.  There are some that treat that kind of like a wink to see if you email them, there are lots of  possible non creepy reasons why someone wouldn't have contacted you but added you to their favorites list.

Status: offline 		Actually, the Admirers list has been there for more than 2 years, just in a different place on the home page.  (Lower left in the lists of various, "Favorites" - "Blocked" - etc...   CM just moved it to a place of prominence and higlighted it with red letters.  It's not a new thing at all.  I've been using mine since 2005.

I've always been curious: Is there some unspoken/unwritten CM protocol that a submissive shouldn't make first contact with a Dom? Could that be the reason for being coy?

I don't know about any unwritten rules but I know a lot of submissives feel they shouldn't make the first move. Since I don't spend endless amounts of time tirelessly combing personals sites for them it's nice when once in a while one I hadn't seen takes the initiative to respectfully start the ball rolling.

To the OP - there may not have been 40 all at once, you can see when they added you and it may have been a few here and there over a period of time. The feature has been there for quite some time.

You think the person is cool
You like to read the person's journal
You are interested in this person's posts in the message boards because they are...(smart, funny, dumb, incredibly naiive, or whatever)
The person lives near you and you'd like to attend an event with them
You think they'd make a good friend
You think they'd be good for....(****)
They're cute and you want to see new pics

If there is, I didn't get the memo. 

When I was 'out there", I never had an issue contacting someone I thought was interesting----for whatever reason.  :)  YMMV

Status: offline 		Thank you, KC.  It was sort of a surprise to see it all lit up in red and right under the "Who's Viewing Me" tab and when i looked there were surprisingly quite a few.  Thanks again.

Status: offline 		I don't think that works.  "Hide this user" means the person won't come up in YOUR search results.  I think someone can see you online no matter what you do.  The most you can do is block the person from contacting you.

Status: offline 		There are a slew of folks that have me tagged on their favorites list that have never contacted me.  Whatever!  Maybe they just have Nork Envy.  :)  It's all those folks who VIEW me that have me boggled!  Not creeped, just boggled.  But hey, profiles are there to be perved.

Status: offline 		Don't get freaked out over nothing. The list has been there forever, it's just in a new place now, and it doesn't mean anything except as a way to "bookmark" a profile so you can check it out later, for whatever reason. I add a profile to my favorites list quite often when I see something interesting that I might want to come back to. I might be considering emailing them, but don't have time at the moment, or maybe there's just something they wrote that I want to review later. It's no big deal.

As far as I know, you can't prevent people from admiring you unless you remove the profile for everyone.

I was on 3 but they have all either taken me off their list or left the site... One of the 3 I have met RL and have had a few scenes with her.

I love the fact that they now highlight the whos viewing me in red when there is a new view.
