At this point, their can be no doubt that Fox News is biased against , and working against Ron Paul`s campaign.

http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS92860+05-Jan-2008+BW20080105

Why is this?

What is the motivation?

Could it be his stance on Iraq?

Fox wanted to limit the debate to candidates with 10% or more in national polls.

The same thing will happen in the presidential debates in october later this year....all the 3rd parties and independants will be thrown out and it will only be Dem vs Rep.

Popular news media only swing Republican or Democrat. When someone leaning towards a independent side pops up, both sides of the media attack them. Both D's and R's may go at it, but they also back each other up when intruders invade there political turf. The media is heavily influenced and controlled by the Two Party system.

Maybe FOX News knows a bit more about Ron Paul that you do, like what's contained in these little snippets about Ron Paul's "Newsletters":

quote:

Martin Luther King Jr. earned special ire from Paul's newsletters, which attacked the civil rights leader frequently, often to justify opposition to the federal holiday named after him. ("What an infamy Ronald Reagan approved it!" one newsletter complained in 1990. "We can thank him for our annual Hate Whitey Day.")

quote:

Like blacks, gays earn plenty of animus in Paul's newsletters. They frequently quoted Paul's "old colleague," Congressman William Dannemeyer--who advocated quarantining people with AIDS--praising him for "speak[ing] out fearlessly despite the organized power of the gay lobby." In 1990, one newsletter mentioned a reporter from a gay magazine "who certainly had an axe to grind, and that's not easy with a limp wrist." In an item titled, "The Pink House?" the author of a newsletter--again, presumably Paul--complained about President George H.W. Bush's decision to sign a hate crimes bill and invite "the heads of homosexual lobbying groups to the White House for the ceremony," adding, "I miss the closet."

quote:

Then there is Gary North, who has worked on Paul's congressional staff. North is a central figure in Christian Reconstructionism, which advocates the implementation of Biblical law in modern society. Christian Reconstructionists share common ground with libertarians, since both groups dislike the central government. North has advocated the execution of women who have abortions and people who curse their parents.

I think Fox News should invite *all* candidates to the debate.
I want to hear ALL the candidates.

...perhaps the famous Fox News slogan "We report, you decide" ought to be changed to "we decide what to report then you decide"....... after all, if the cut off point is 10 percent, then someone with five percent (one in twenty people) is rejected....leaving that one in twenty with no representation in the debate.

Philosophy, yes, and so far Ron Paul is getting more votes than Rudy.
But Sean Hannity has a "man crush" on Rudy.
I think Owner is onto something about Ron Paul's stance on the war.

Assuming that FOX news DID allow someone that far to the right into the debates, someone who has such a razor thin margin of support... would that make you left wingers like the FOX news network? Or would you cry foul, for their allowing such a viciously racist homophobic woman-hater onto their stage...

"We report you decide" doesn't mean that they have to give voice to the KKK after all, no matter how much you say you want it to.

Read the whole article, and will again later,to see if I missed anything.

If the piece is true at all,Ron Paul is an all American republican. Not so much the libertarian(as some claim).

Complete with bigoted POVs ,for blacks,gays,women,etc..

He criticized what happened in South Africa, when they had their reforms, and the end of apartheid.

But so did Rush Limbaugh,Bob Grant, and every other right-wing talking head ass hole out there,at the time.As did many elected republicans, like  Bob Dornan (R-Ca)http://www.bobdornan.com/.

No new news there.

The republican party`s embrace of the lunatic fringe, the militia movements, supremacist front groups, like the
Council of Conservative Citizens ,gay haters like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, the weird people who think the UN has a secrete army, and any number of anti-American movements, like the neo-conservative movement, are no different than Ron Paul`s embrace,of some of those things.
This is America,... we have those things here.

My point, was that Fox news was/is biased against Paul.

Fox news is not trying to  save us from Ron Paul,b/c they support so many of the ideas and people, mentioned before. There was nothing benevolent, about what Fox did.It was pure calculated bias.

I think, it`s b/c Paul will pull us out of Iraq,..period.
Paul couldn`t care less about the political, social,or moral fallout, that ending that failure will bring the republican party. The folks at Fox News,do.

Other than ending the war in Iraq,Ron Paul is no different than half of the republican party.

My point still stands.

Fox is not a good faith player ,...or fair or balanced.

Maybe they know something we don`t ?,.....my ass!

You're being too nice with "We report, you decide."

I say letting morons or liars decide who should be in the debates is absolutely ridiculous. And those running the polls at Fox are either morons or liars.

Hmmmm, are you saying that FOX news isn't part of the "liberal" media?  *GASP*  I thought that's what everybody has agreed upon, that all the media is "liberal"?

Tyrants throughout history agree.  "Limit your subjects' options"  "Give them a hint of truth, but definitely not the whole truth"  Pope John Paul II in the late 90s rather quietly apologized to the world for the Vatican "intentionally misleading the people of the world" since their rise to power.  However, its a formula that works.  Just ask Stalin, Hitler, Bush, the Vatican, Pol Pot or FOX News.

PS-If there's any truth to the saying "advertising works", then by definition, another truth would be "censorship works".  Oh, and whatEVER you do, keep focusing on Brittney Spears and Hollywood.  ;-)

Bingo. And how unfortunate that so many of us still can't see past the illusions.

All tho I am not a Ron Paul Fan.   Not a fan of anyone yet.   I believe that they should have included every candidate on the ballot or in the running.
