After struggling to coherently describe what an orgasm feels like to me, I was given an assignment to find three descriptions that are similar to what I experience and comment on them. But the internet has not proven useful. All that comes up is helpful hints for guys learning to please women.

So I come to the boards for aid...What does it feel like when you cum? How would you describe the various sensations, emotions, and thoughts? This is actually not meant to be wank material, but if it turns down that road...whatever. Take advantage of it, don't flame. And though I'm a girl, I dare say responses from anyone would be helpful.

I'm afraid I gave myself this assignment back in my teens before I orgasmed- and it just made it worse for me. It really is one of those things you have to EXPERIENCE, made even more complicated by the fact that one person can have an entire range or orgasm experiences alone.

Yep...romance novels would work. They have pretty awesome descriptions sometimes, but I don't have any good ones.

I strongly suggest novels written by Jane Feather, such as the trio The Emerald Swan, The Silver Swan, and The Emerald Slipper. Try to read them in the right order if you can, but it doesn't really matter if you don't. I also suggest her Brides novels, The Hostage Bride, The Accidental Bride and The Least Likely Bride. My favorite is The Hostage Bride. Other good authors are Arnette Lamb (she also likes to write in Trilogies, I like her series regarding Clan MacKenzie. The last book is True Heart but if you want the other titles I can grab them off the shelf). I've also enjoyed books by Cassie Edwards.

Not that I read a lot of romance novels in high school. Nope. Not at all.

Depends on what kind of orgasm .. clit/anal/fucking... I suspect it's different for everybody, for myself, if I string it out too long it's mostly like being drained - it's the best I can do, there are usualy some spasms, a feeling of being flooded with warmth - my best orgasms are the same but more of it: totally spastic, my whole body spasms, my toes curl, my hair stand on end, chill running down my spine. I'm clawing and grabbing ass, trying to lift her up and impale as deeply as I can, really climbing her frame.

Ideally, it's simultanous orgasm, and she's flopping around like fish, trying to pull me in further too, if not there's always some concern as to whether I'm hurting her with certain women - not being mamby pamby about it, but I like some feedback.

One of the benefits of a steady partner. My ex was very deep, but at least of my more recent lovers is not, and I hate the idea I might be hurting her and she isn't telling me, so I usually hold back a bit.

If you're into pain, or being used I guess that would be one thing, but one does like to know. I'm still dealing with vanilla's for reasons largely beyond my control, so these things tend to be handled on the fly.

I am not going to speak to wetness and throbbing etc here as I wish not to provide wank material but rather an account. It is a total body experience. At first merely feeling good and then it becomes like climbing a mountain gradually going up and up that mountain until I can almost see and most certainly feel the peak. Getting to that peak is a great deal of the ''fun'' and once gotten to the peak I can either be held there for a time or lose control and cannot be held. Holding at the peak is in itself another entirely different feeling. Then comes that time when an urgency hits me to fall off the peak.

When the fall from the peak happens it is a total body spasm, at times even lifting my torso into a near sitting position quickly if I happen to be on my back or side. Everything tightens intensely and then spasms beyond my control usually accompanied by some sort of unattractive noise or 2.

Then I lay unable to move at all for a time and oddly enough, usually with the loss of a great deal of my hearing. My arms and legs simply do not or are incapable of movement and I may say in a disembodied voice either, I can't move or I am dead. It is such a physical event for me that at times my muscles are sore even into the next day. Once recovered enough to shakily sit up, I wait for my lit cigarette and a cold (non-alcoholic drink) though can still feel rather floaty and tend to float off to sleep after the cig and whatnot. I have also at times cried directly after as it can be such a physical and emotional release. They tend to have less intensity and/or lack the crying component when done by myself. At those times, it is a nice warm shudder and an easier time getting to sleep. Done by myself is rare for many reasons.

I am curious now. Does anyone else go nearly deaf?

I don't go deaf, but I am so focused on his voice that its like being in a vacuum and all that exists is SJ. It doesn't matter if we are alone or if there are 20 people watching, its tunnel vision of the ear. (don't know if that makes sense, but there it is)

The other physical things I feel are a tightening of the throat (to the point that SJ says there is no point in doing breath play with me, since i do it to myself) so that I don't breathe. lol actually that is a somewhat appropriate discription, it is just difficult to find the right words to describe orgasms. For me, (as I usually use a vibe.)I like to think of it as "making a connection" that feeling that I am right on top of the orgasm. ooooooooooooooooo yeah thats the spot. I feel like I don't want to stop. and afterwords, I just want to lay there, feeling like a nap would be good.

I can say for one thing orgasms at different stages in life can change, and may be different for each person when I was younger only had clitorial orgasms a build of tension and then a release, later I also had vaginal orgasms which is really nice a powerful as it is like a built up tension and then powerful wave contractions occurs once the orgasms hits which will last for minutes afterward, now with the hysterectomy the nerves to the vagina will be severed so I may not experience vaginal orgasms only clitorial so will be a new learning experience for me as things will be different again.

Thank you everyone, for your responses so far...and I really am not out to get off on your posts here. It has helped some with my assignment. All I had were words like tingly and explosion. I couldn't really make myself focus on the individual parts of the whole process...just the desired goal. Hehe...so having some ideas of what other people experience help me to pinpoint what I'm experiencing and articulate it...and thus, finally answer the freaking question accurately and to the best of my ability!
