Night sweats?  Its a menopause thing.  How old are you?

I also had a doctor once tell me it is your body healing.  You start sweating...when menopause isn't an issue.
No idea on how you are healing...I've never looked into it further.

Does sound menopausal, although there isn't much info to go on.  Like, are you or do you suffer from depression?  Do you have night traumas?  Are you diabetic?  Are you on any medication or recovering from an illness.  If no to any of these, I would speak to your doctor about being possibly menopausal.  And at 37 that is really possible.

None of the above apply.  i see my endocrinologist in april so he'll tell me why.  Its probly a hormone thing since mine are so high.

Yeah - hormonal problems can cause sweats.  But just for general info - the beginnings of menopause can start at an average of 35(perimenopause).  I would also check out your birth control as well if its new or been used longterm, that caused me problems a while back.

Thyroid issues can cause similar symptoms...

I would be concerned if you had other symptoms like swollen glands...that could indicate something beyond hormones.

it is referred to as "night sweats", and there are at least 8 possible reasons:

*menopause

*idiopathic hyperhydrosis

*infections such as tuberculosis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis or HIV

*cancers, primarily lymphomas

*medications, especially antidepressants

*hypoglycemia

*hormone disorders

*neurologic conditions

this slave has been enduring them for 24 years, due to a massive hormonal overload...sometimes keeping big beach-sized towels by the bed to sleep on and cover up with after drenching her side in the middle of the night, in an attempt not to disturb Master changing sheets in the middle of the night.

Yep my estrogen is extremely high but it always has been.  Though it is likely the cause as i said earlier "hormonal".  None of the other things you mention apply in my case cept meno.  It sucks because you cant get back to sleep your sitting there shivering...

It probably is your hormone levels then.  That's sort of what menopause is.  Premenopause can last a few years before the real thing happens.  That is something most people don't realize.

Ask your doctor anyway, just in case it is something more severe.

having a high level of estrogen alone is usually NOT attributed to night sweats.

night sweats with an onset at menopause or peri-menopause are generally attributed to a decrease in the amount of estrogen OR progesterone you normally produce.

Early menopause is possible, some women are lucky and it won't begin till they are in there 50s and they may only go thru a couple of years before menstrating stops others may start quite young and go thru the perio for 10+ years,  I went thru 8 years of  prior to my recent surgery at 48 the daytime hot flashes started about 5 years ago ,  now with the surgery   I have a built in sauna

Ive been having night sweats since I was 36, Im like beth, I keep a full size towel nearby to not disturb hubby too :) sometimes two to cover me on the top tooo, depending on how damp the sheets/quilt get..it is a pain, my doc said I was in perimenopause....had hot flashes for seven years so far.....cant wait for it all to be over, but as all the women in my family havent finished before their mid fifties, I hate to think how long it is gonna take.
Oh and Im almost 46 now

Google, night sweats, high estrogen..you get a variety of websites.  Some wanting to sell you stuff and most are pretty informative.
Here are a few excerpts

What is Perimenopause?

Perimenopause is the transition time between a woman’s reproductive years and menopause.  Typically, perimenopause occurs between the ages 40 to 51 (average age is 47), but hormonal changes may start as early as the late 30's.  As women age, the supply of eggs in the ovaries is depleted.  In the 40's, the supply is very low, and menstrual cycles without ovulation (anovulatory cycles) become more frequent.  Due to the increase in anovulatory cycles, perimenopausal women often have low levels of progesterone, with high or fluctuating levels of estrogen.  High estrogen, low progesterone or an imbalance of estrogen to progesterone may be associated with many of the symptoms that perimenopausal women experience including hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, depression, irritability, insomnia, headaches, palpitations and irregular, prolonged or heavy menses.  These symptoms are often worse before the menstrual period, so many women may think they are having PMS, when it may be the beginning of perimenopause.  If you are experiencing symptoms of Perimenopause, you are not alone.

I have night sweats - is it normal?
They come and go. But I soak the entire bed and I will be dripping wet almost. It's nasty. I'm only 29 so I can't figure out why it's happening. I am a very anxious person and I was having palpitations because of it and my doc had my heart checked and my blood done and everything was fine ( I was having the night sweats at that time also). So what could it be? Am I dreaming and getting stressed or something?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071115041304AA84Nu1
