i'd like to add a picture to my profile so that it would be possible for visitors to get an impression of me, but i'm not that fond of shoving my face in case of being recognised if put on public display..

my question would therefore be, what would be appropriate to have as profile picture without being to recognisable?

Status: offline 		i have some pictures ordered by my former mistress of me standing white my genitals hidden behind my legs, so it is a full frontal with no genitals and face, would you find that appropriate? - in the sense of i don't seeing mages of somebody's genitals as appropriate for profile picture..

Status: offline 		I don't know if CM would approve a full frontal nude shot (even if the genitals are hidden).  If you look around, profile pics aren't nearly as explicit here as they are on alt or b - there's a reason for that.

But overall, if you dig through old threads regarding pics - most dommes don't want to see a nude shot as a profile pic, and they don't want you sending them through email unless you were asked to do so.

I liken having a mostly nude pic (or the sending of dick pics) to walking up to someone on the street you've never met and saying hello by dropping your pants.   It's really not appropriate and a good way to make a lot of people not take you seriously. 

If you want a pic of you but not your face...have a friend take one of you from behind, or looking away, or crop your head off.

Status: offline 		 Have you tried covering half of your face with somthing? Example covering the lower part of your face with a paddle in front...allowing your eyes to be visible. Some people won't respond well until they a bit of who they're talking to. For me "parts" never cut it. Afterall, they do say the eyes are the window to the soul. Its a start anyway.

Status: offline 		You can always pixelate your face or edit it out.  Remember the 'rules' though and make sure your image complies.

Status: offline 		Try a pic of your torso, or a pic of you in a mask.  This way you are visible and still unrecognizable.

Status: offline 		Photos from the side work, giving a profile of your face without being particularly recognizable except for by someone who might know you really well.

Alternatively, you could try heavy makeup or even body paint on your face, making it hard to make out.

Status: offline 		I had my photos taken with a mask to hide most of my facial features. It still gives a good sense of who I am, and it's a full shot so there's no question as to what I may look like.

Status: offline 		Have a friend take a picture of you standing under a tree, some distance away. Wear a hat. By doing this, the general body shape and size will be observable but facial identification will not. Your face will be too far in shade to be identified.
