I'm with LA on this one.... little too fast it seems on the "the bottom has fallen out of my world... I have to retreat from the whole lifestyle to save my soul" moment to the "Whoopeee..... salvation in the form of another Dom".

"Enraptured"? This dude one of those so-called "rapture" doms? One of them contacted me once. I had one question for him: how the heck was I ever to trust anything he said, if there was a strong likelihood that whatever he said was calculated to have a particular effect on me? Truth be damned, it seemed. Bit OT I know, but there you go.

I just don't have the inclination to defend myself or feel the need to. Indeed it wasn't another Dom: it is and has always been the same person, just a different man, a man who changed himself and grew as so did I. He doesn't calculate anything to enrapture me. If he were doing that indeed I would know it and would have added 'Rapture Dom' to my What type of Dom are You? range......he is just who he is.
If it doesn't go well then the drop this time will certainly not be aired through the forum here...but I do not want to create and self-fulfilling prophecy. There a great many (much younger) slaves who have contacted me by PM and it is the support they need and have asked for, and the support they offer me, which has been one of the most beautiful and unexpected turns of events.

I really do thank you for your concern. After all I am only just another slave around here.
But there was a telephone conversation we had that turned the tables for me.
He actually admitted that he cared and that he missed me. It came after a thread I started here about Masters/doms and if they missed or cared for their subs. There were so many more tough guys prepared to say so, even if they had not found a way of saying it to the submissive in person.
When I heard the humanity, the softness and the fear of rejection (hidden) in his voice I melted.
My problem is that I myself find it difficult to be 'nice'....I am a bitch, and a switch and am a handful.
I have walked from three controlling marriages and lost everything to stand by my principles that control/abuse is different to bdsm.
He is quite raw and honest in his 'need' for me and his absolute unwillingness to allow me to be released. For the first time it feels an honour and I know simply by the way he looks at me and the depths of personal control he uses to his violence in the methods he uses to contain me.
If I get 'dropped' this time it will be of my owm doing.

As long as you realize that you see as "need" can also be seen by others as "manipulation". It's often that subs/slaves talk about not being able to be released and somehow don't realize that they hold the power. You can always walk away. There is no need to remain in a relationship because someone is pulling some protocol on you. Just saying that you need to understand that the entire "won't release me" can also be a tool of manipulation.
