Whining hits a nerve with me. The Miami Dolphins hit a nerve with me (I’m a Bills fan so I am legally required to hate the Dolphins). Therefore whining Dolphins really hit a nerve with me. Cripes man, the Patriots haven’t even won the Superbowl yet and at least one of the ‘72 Dolphins is already getting sniveling and defensive about it?

I really hope the Bills don't move to Toronto, by the way.

For fraglebargle - yeah let's punish those who are innocent (the team) for what someone did.

I'm behind the Pat's all the way.  Even if they did benifit from someone's cheating (and I do not believe the team knew about it).  THEY still would not of gotten this far if they weren't just an fucking GREAT team.

Me too. I remember, when the Colts left Baltimore, watching Colt fans sob (and I mean full blown, collapse to the ground, turn the water works on to full, sobbing) over it on the news. If the Bills leave Buffalo you can expect scenes like that throughout Western New York.

No nerve hit with me, but I am still failing to see your point. What am I missing here? The Pats will have to win more games consecutively than the Dolphins did. Isn't this like making it to an even taller mountain?

Of course, this is all academic until the Patriots are holding that trophy.

If the Patriots win the Super Bowl, they will be the first team to have won 19 games in a season. Screw Everest, they will have landed on the Moon.

Ok, as a Miami fan(stuck in Bills country, no less) i give the Pats players credit for being able to do this. they deerve some praise for it, they did earn it.

i do question if the organization earned it honestly, though. they got caught twice with the cheating, and i blame the NFL for not stopping it cold the first time. It benifited the NFL to sweep it under the rug as best they could.  I am tired of hearing the excuse that "everyone cheats."  While some things happen on the field, that is quite different from taping the other teams signals to give yourself a future advantage. i am sure there will be those that disagree with me, though.

As far as comparing the 72 Dolphins to the Pats, you can't. The rules were different, as were systems and training. You could no more drop the 72 team into todays games and expect good results anymore than you can drop the Pats back then and expect honest results. The game has changed too much since then.

With 16-0 out of the way, 19-0 is all that matters.

I think it's likely they won't make the Super Bowl.  Just a hunch - it's been built up too much.

Cheating is Cheating. It's not like the Packers didn't try to blow the whistle on the Cheaters before.

And I'm not unconvinced they weren't still cheating the entire season.
