At 2 am they woke me up and I sent them back to bed cause I don't care what day it is, 2 am as a wake-up time is way tooo early.

At 4 am, they came back and I gave up. Got up and we opened presents.

So...how long did you hold out before being driven from your bed for Christmas morning?

I was a devil for this when I was little. The challenge of getting all the stuff left by Santa at the end of the bed was, to get it open and play with it without waking my parents - usually around 3am.

But I had an early start this morning too, to drive over and see my UMs open their presents. Kids are getting lazier - I arrived at about 7am and they were all still abed. I fed the cat, made a coffee and only heard movement at about 730, at which time I ascended the stairs to find two UMs in their mom's bed, all opening stuff from Santa.

I've been up since 3 am.  not because of younguns but because I am visiting relatives and sharing a room with my brother and his wife.  I have an air mattress on the floor, its freezing up in NJ.  I'm ready to be back in florida.   And THEY BOTH SNORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not yet convinced to leave.  My electric blanket is still plugged in.  I had insomnia last night, so I'm still tired.  The decision:  coffee and gift wrapping or warm bed and reading.

haven't slept a wink because of noisy neighbors playing the same Christmas songs over and over again all night long ...however they won't be getting any sleep because i'm playing my Christmas music now.  right now i'm playing my 2nd CD - Nutcracker Suite!

my 5yr oldgot up around 7:30a ...my teen probably will sleep in until she smells breakfast.

I decide on the coffee.  And I made some dip for lunch.  I'm listening to the brass Christmas cd.  Still haven't wrapped the gifts yet.

Mine are still asleep...hell!  Even my dogs are sleeping.  I was up at about 4.  Put a roast in the slow cooker and finished wrapping gifts.  Now I am simply enjoying the stillness.

I went to bed at 2 a.m. after getting the place looking magical for when they woke up, which was about 5 a.m.  They finally dragged me from my nice warm bed at 6:45 a.m.  Presents are all unwrapped, trash is ready to go out, I'm showered and hair all done, but I'm ready to drop.  I may take a nap before I start cooking lunch.  Sigh...

Dear me!  Katy, you couldn't be more right!  Thank you for saving me from a destroyed coif.  I'll just have to suck it up and persevere.  The humanity!!!
