So who'd call themselves a geek here?  I would, since I'm a game designer and basically spend half my life playing or working on video games.

Anyone else?

Hey William Shatner is a shaman that plays WoW, not that it's relevant, just saw the commercial!  I kind of doubt he really does though.

Anyhow, if a gamer is a geek then I am one. MMO's mostly.  What type of games do you design?

Well, I used to work on "The Sims" titles, but was mostly a programmer then.  Now I'm working at a company that does RPGs.

I don't know, I am not much of a gamer.  But I am tickled silly about the rerelease of 'Blade Runner' on Tuesday.  I already reserved a copy to buy at my video store.  I am also a huge fan of scifi and horror B-movies.  I embarrass the shit out of people when I go to video rental places with them. They want to hide their head when I take a copy of  something along the lines of, 'Chainsaw Hooker Nuns from the Planet Neptune' up to the counter.  So I guess I am kind of a geek in many ways.

Yeah 4.0 looks like it will be cool.  Glad they're going to go with the Unearthed Arcana spell point system, I hear.  And the Star Wars sage edition 'roll vs their save' stuff.

Feh. AD&D First Edition if you simply *must* have all the bells and whistles, otherwise I don't know why the Basic D&D rules aren't good enough for you damn kids....

I certainly would refer to myself as a geek. I spend most of my waking hours in front of a computer screen.  12+ hours a day as a network administrator.  My PC is hardly a gaming rig, though it does have 2TB of space.  I do most of my gaming on my xbox360.  I've considered giving WoW a try since there are 50 billion addicted people on there.  Right now, i'm giving EQII a shot.  I've never been a huge RPGer, so it's different.  I generally prefer an FPS.

On behalf of all the geeks, I'd just like to say:
