ORIGINAL: slaveboyforyou Yeah I probably should buy a new one. I am not one for change, so I tend to try and hang on to the same things for as long as I can. It's still a good knife, I may just throw it in my tackle box and use it solely for fishing. Fargle, that's an okay looking knife on the link you gave me. I don't really like the belt clips on the handles or the newer, lighter materials. That's one thing I like about the old Bucks. They have a heavy brass and wood handle, with a heavy, sturdy blade. But, it doesn't have all the amenities of the modern knife designs. Buck does actually make some pretty good knives that are more modern, and I am brand loyal to them. They still make all their stuff right here in America, and they guarantee their products. Yeah, I got a Buck folder.. ( LB7?) in my toolbelt, but it's HEAVY compared to these lightweight folders. And I wouldn't worry about the construction on what I've suggested. If YOU survive, the knife will, and isn't that all that really matters?
