Global warming may or may not be a reality.
E

Most if not everyone realizes that Global Warming is a reality. The debates of today are mostly about the causes of Global Warming and if the earth will follow its past cycle of Global Cooling.

So far, we've identified and theroized dozens of natural factors that we have no controll over. These ideas range from changes in our sun, movement in the earths magnetic poles, volcanic activity,  and plate techtonics changing ocean current.

It's Natural Occurance that's out of our hands versus Human Activity. The aurgument is how much does Human Activity really contribute to global warming. After all, how much different would the earths weather and climate of today be different if Man/Technology never existed? Are we really making a difference as to what the earth is doing? Is our Human Pollution actually tipping the scale when all the natural smog/smoke does its thing?

At any rate, despite how much Human Polution really contributes to Global Warming, all I really care about is breathing clean air. If only for the purpose of clean air, I'd like to see a less need and use for fossil fuel.

Why the activity? Scientists arn't sure. Some claim there could be an underwater volcano somwhere under the ice sheet but more likely it is just the Earth's normal changes in heat distribution through the crust. Some of this has also been suspected for some of the melting of ice in Antarctica.

cyberdude:
I have read the article a couple of times and have been unable to determine just where in the article it claims that any of the melt in Antarctica is caused by this phenomena.  Is there another companion article that goes with this post or are you editorializing?
